It seems like so many people are already putting up Christmas decorations and playing Christmas music. Thanksgiving hasn't even happened yet. Do you think people are rushing toward Christmas too fast?

Yes. It seems that every year the ads start earlier. They started before Halloween this year. Some layaway plans even earlier. It ruins the spirit of Christmas tome. I do not see how it will get any better. That is the sad part.

it started on November 1st. I saw one commercial. now I see at least 3 or 4 a day. soon the radio station will be playing 24 hours of Christmas music.
-
I have all my Christmas shopping done if that counts. As far as decorations go that is not my thing. :present:
-
Of course. They push it back farther
and farther every year. The retail giants want to get us in the mood
early on. :moneymouth: :present:
Christmas music and decorations lose a little of their joy when experienced too early.
I think one month of it should be entirely adequate for everyone.

i think so, i guess Thanksgiving doesn't have financial appeal of Christmas
-
i agree they push christmas earlier every year whether music or sales
-
Yes, it does seem like the stores are in a rush for the holidays. I shop when I'm in the mood but not wait until the last minute.
-
I think we've been conditioned to rush towards Christmas.
With all the decorations out in stores before the end of October, and the commercials and Christmas music starting earlier and earlier each year, I think companies are pushing.

I do. It begins earlier every year. I don't like turning a one day holiday into 3 months of commercialism, personally.

-
Yes I think so you see the stuff way to early know.

Yes, I think people are rushing Christmas.
-
Yes, they always do and then on Christmas morning they throw the tree out.
People don't even leave their tree till new year's anymore. As for me, I leave my tree till " Three Kings - Jan. 6 )
I do my decorating after Thanksgiving.
-
I think so. I have an aunt who puts up her Christmas decorations before Halloween. I usually start decorating for Christmas on Thanksgiving evening.

Lol I have an aunt that leaves her Christmas decorations up all year!

Yes, Yes they are and it takes all the real meaning of Christmas away. People need to stop and think.
-
Christmas always gets rushed. :(
-
They sure is. It's not even Thanksgiving. Get your life America!
-
I think people rush Christmas because the stores start it first. I've seen decorations in stores the day after Halloween and to me it's just wrong. They take away the true meaning of Christmas and turn it into a money-making event only.
-
Yes _ I think they are rushing things a bit. I will admit though - I have listened to Christmas radio on Pandora :D
-
yep ,,,,i think so!!!!!!!!!!! ::)
-
Oh yeah. And the shame of it is, it's a much nicer and more meaningful experience if you take it a bit slower and easier. Or--so it seems to me.
-
The stores are rushing xmas by selling holiday products earlier. It's all about the $$$$$$ for the stores.
-
Yes I do I cant believe walmart the day after Halloween they are putting out Christmas decorations

I was at the mall on Halloween day, and they already had Christmas stuff in stock in most of the stores. I couldn't take the "Happy Halloween" from the cashiers seriously.
-
Yes considering christmas stuff was in stores before Halloween was even over!
