:) Yes, they are. Married my wife 42+ years ago. Raised her 3 kids and then adopted 4 more. It has been great.  :)

children are blessings

Yes, they are.  Life is the greatest thing that two human beings can create in this world.  It truly is a miracle from the day of conception through the end of a pregnancy, and finally, the birth of a baby.  So many people have absolutely no idea of the amount of things that can go wrong in those 9 miraculous months.  We take so many things for granted in life.  Until you've experienced the heartache of a problem pregnancy or the loss of a child, it's really hard to fathom.

my kids are the best blessings in my life --i thank the Lord that he let me be their mother--watching them grow and seeing the changes in them and what they are becoming is an amazing journey

Of course they are blessings. They don't always seem like it, but they're worth the wait and worth the effort.

I'm a little surprised that I didn't see any negative comments on this topic. I hear so many people complain about how it's so terrible to have to take care of their kids. Shocking.  :o

Yes, I agree with you.  They're twice the blessing when you've had a very hard time trying to have children.  I know.

I have two girls, both grown.  The youngest of the two has no interest in having children and I am glad she recognizes that having children is not for everyone.  I am glad she understood herself and her relationship BEFORE she had children rather than afterwards.  I do not push her.  Although I only have one grandchild, it is not a priority that I become a grandmother again.  This is a very personal decision for every individual and requires insight and understanding of what you want out of life.  I respect her decision.  (She is in her mid 30"s.)  Children ARE blessings, but for some they are NOT the end-all, be-all.

- Kids are expensive.

- Taking care of a baby or kids adds extra difficulty to your life.
