Would you care if someone bought you a Christmas present from the Dollar store?
-
I don't expect anyone to buy me a gift from anywhere. If someone gives me something from the Dollar store.....
I would acknowledge the fact that....
it's the thought that counts.
-
Sure i would care.......im worth at least $2!!
-
No, it wouldn't matter. It's the thought that counts.
-
Honestly, no it's not the price it's the thought.

I think my granny does this with me, hahah. I don't care, she picks out cute things and I don't think too much of Christmas anyway so it's not any kind of big deal. :)
-
Actually we do that every year with co-workers. Gift must be purchased at a dollar store, but we have a maximum spending limit of $2.00.
-
As for me, really doesn't matter. Not expecting to receive any type of gift. With a 12 year old and a 5 year old - that is my gift on Christmas Morning - seeing smiles on their face opening gifts from Santa. ;-)

I think this is a marvelous idea for co-workers. It would take the stress off of people's budget because they know they don't have to spend a great deal....they can concentrate on sharing good will with their co-workers.
A $2 limit could be difficult OR it could make for some creative shopping!
-
No I think it a good as any other store and it only takes one dollar to pay for it .
-
I would appreciate any gift given to me. It would not matter if it came from the Dollar Store.
Also, some things in a Dollar Store cost more than one dollar.
-
i would not care it is the thought that counts, hope everyone has a good day. :)
-
Like everyone said, it the thought that counts and my granddaugther gets me gifts from the Family Dollar, things in there are more than a dollar. :in-love:
-
i have a pretty good sized family, and every year we play a christmas eve game and we do a gift swap, but it cant be more expensive than 5$.. i know my whole family uses the dollar store lol i bought 5 things from the dollar store this year for my little 5$ gift haha but every year everyone loves the stuff they get. and sometimes especially around the holidays the dollar store has neat stuff!! So no, I dont think anyone should mind :)
-
To me, a present's a present.
I don't think it matters where it was bought. :)
-
No because everyone should remember - it's the thought that counts!!
-
The dollar stores have fun stuff. I'm not too good for dollar store items. I like that co-worker idea. You could throw a fun party with a dollar store gift exchange. Anything to spread JOY. :present:
-
Sometimes there are things at the dollar store that are worth considerably more than a dollar, but are overstock or close to the expiration date from "regular" stores. Like right now, they have ReBody PreWorkout pills that usually sell for $29.99, that would be a great gift if you/they workout. :)
-
Me personally would not care. It's the thought that counts. But I would prefer no one spend money on me. I love the homemade gifts that don't cost a dime.
-
It wouldn't matter to me because they took the time to find something for me. particularly if they thought It was something I nneded or wanted :peace: :santa: :santa:
-
No. I would think it would have some type of sentimental value and I bet there are a lot of people who buy stocking stuffers there.
-
It's the thought that counts, so it doesn't matter where it comes from, as long as it comes from the heart!!!
-
No it wouldn't bother me at all.
-
I am just happy they thought of me. I have bought gifts at the dollar store myself to give to others
-
No i would not mind at all at least they got me something even though its 1 $ lol.
-
No, I wouldn't care where my gift came from. It is the thought that counts.
-
The thought is what counts. I have had some neat gifts from the dollar store, some were made even cuter by the children. Now all of my nieces and nephews are growing up so much and I have ask them to use their money on the things they need as I have no more room for their presious gifts.
-
Not at all...I'm a firm believer of the thought that counts. If someone takes time to get me something from anywhere, regardless of cost, I'm appreciative of being thought of!
-
Would you care if someone bought you a Christmas present from the Dollar store?
Probably not. It would likely depend on the situation, but for the most part I don't expect people to get me gifts so anything I receive is appreciated.
-
Not really I was raised to accept it anyway cause some people aren't fortunate to get expensive gifts it's the thought that counts for me
-
I wouldn't care. It's the thought that counts.
-
A gift is a gift, you can find some really clever gifts at the dollar or 99 Cent store. I find a lot of stocking stuffers there.
-
No, ha ha...a gift is a gift....
-
I would if I knew that person has the money to actually afford at least $5.00. If I know that person can't afford anything I would be grateful that they thought of me.
-
It doesn't matter to me where's the gift bought. What's matter to me he/she took time to get me something.
-
I got a few people a little Christmas metal box from the Dollar Tree & rolled up a coordinating pair of warm, fuzzy socks. Also nail polish, hand lotion, and some candy. It made a cute gift for $5. I also got alot of neat stocking stuffers there. It wouldn't bother me to get a gift from there, it's the thought that counts.
-
I wouldn't care. It is the thought that counts. Sometimes you can find some pretty good stuff. I got the cutest scarf from Family Dollar the other day. I wished there had been more than one b/c I wanted to buy a second one for my friend at work.
-
I agree, it's the thought that counts.
-
If they are buying it from the Dollar Store then you probably know what their financial situation is then, but if they can afford a better gift because they actually have a good financial situation, just assume it is a joke gift or stocking stuffer. :silly: Also everything at the Dollar Store is NOT a dollar or less 8) :peace:
-
If it was a gift that thought had been put into I wouldn't care where it came from.
-

i really could care less if they bought me a gift from the dollar store. it is the thought that matter after all and just because it came from a dollar store doesnt mean that its not any good.
-
nope doesn't matter.
-
not really, I like practical thing for the gift
-
If it's all you can afford then it shouldn't matter.
-
As long as the gift was selected with an appropriate motivation, I'd be happy to accept it. (meaning if the purpose of the gift was a white elephant gift, or if it was something the person thought I'd get a laugh out of, or a "serious" gift and it was all the person could afford to spend - not that I expect anyone to spend anything on me...) It the intention was to select something cheap as a spiteful gift - then I wouldn't be too happy to receive it - not due to where the gift was purchased, but the intention behind it was spite, not the spirit of giving.
-
I love going to the dollar store and looking around and seeing what treasure I can get so I would be fine with a gift from the dollar store.
-
No, don't mind getting gifts from the dollar store. In fact I do much of stock up shopping @dollar stores cuz u get more for ur buck there!
-
