I have been paying the same amount for months for my prescription. I have changed pharmacies a few times because of their prices. Walgreens shocked me the other day when they quoted me the price of my prescription that was ready. The price quoted me was OVER $100, up from $40 for the same amount of pills. That is ridiculous and so I went looking for a new pharmacy. I found a mail order pharmacy in New Hampshire.
If I posted this yesterday, excuse me for repeating the story. It was an impressionable experience, to say the least. And I am so glad I found an alternative.

Have you tried GoodRx? They will sometime have coupons for the meds you use.

Yeah they are about 3 times the price of any where else. I have one refill and I am done with them. They talked me into a discount card and I have to pay them $20 a year to have it. Uh no thank you. And they had better not auto charge my credit card that $20. I did NOT authorize that. Seems every where you use a card any more they sign you up for auto renew unless you opt out. And who thinks of signing an opt out when you ask for something one time. I will be going back to walmart.

It seems like so many of the meds have really gone out of sight. The companies just want to get rich off us. Some of the older people are now having to pay so very much more for their meds they are having to decide is it meds or food now. and the government is not stepping in on this and I think it is wrong.

Is this generic? Medicines are so high nowadays. My doctor prescribed something for me that I really didn't need and it was so expensive, and I didn't buy it.

They getting ridiculous with those high medicine prices

Prescription medicine is crazy expensive and sometimes even generics are not so easily found either. I have a couple where there isn't much in the way of a suitable alternative, so I'm stuck making the exorbent prices.

It also depends on your insurance what your copays are and if you have a prescript on your insurance plan. Make sure your insurance has your prescript attached to it so your not paying twice

Whats bad is for the people that have to pay those high prices and are living off o ss that's even worse I know because I live off ss and I only draw 389 a month after I pay medicare

Prices for Rxs are out of the roof these days, I don't know how people afford them. I am sorry they raised the price of yours $60....I have TriCare insurance (my late husband was military), and we pay $5, $10 and $20 depending on what the meds are, but its still expensive if you're on a maintenance med.

I don't really buy prescriptions for myself. I usually buy for my children. Some of the prescriptions are pretty high.

I was shocked the other day when I had a new prescription filled... The Pharm-tech had told me it was expensive before he put the order in to have it filled, but I didn't realize until I went to pay... $150! At first I thought that the pharmacy just forgot to send it through my insurance first, but then saw that that was the correct co-pay... The medicine itself cost over $1000 and the insurance company was paying for most of it. But after I got home and went to take it, I realized that they had given me a 3-month supply, so it wasn't nearly as bad as I first thought. Also its a fairly new med. that came out on the market not too long ago, so I had to get the name-brand as their patent hadn't expired yet. That's something that a lot of people fail to check when they are given an expensive medicine; it might be expensive because the company still has a patent on it, and they are trying to recoup their costs while they can before some generic company comes in and undercuts their price...
