First go to the schools and start there for information. My sons little half sister did home school and she was so far advanced then  other kids her age.  But you have to approach it just like she was going to school 8 hours a day and it is a job.

I home schooled my so for 2 years. I did that for the some of the same reasons. My son was bullied and picked on a lot. It is not easy. You have to have patience.

We home schooled our son from K thru 3rd.  Then we went to a Christian school.  There might be a local home schoolers group in your area who can walk you through the local laws/regulations about home schooling.  There are even some home school groups that create their own "school".  These are good because they file all the state forms that are required.  Check the internet.

Good luck.

I was homeschooled for all 12 years. The laws vary from state to state, so you have to see the requirements in your particular state. You can look for homeschool curriculums that sell all the books and materials, and tell you exactly what to teach, and when, so they make it easy for day to day planning.

I did homeschooling for two years of high school through Keystone National High School. They could probably point you in the right direction as far as other grades.

Unless she's planning on returning to the same school, I'd recommend pursuing an interdistrict transfer before homeschooling. I did a couple years to escape certain teachers, but it's hard on the parent-child relationship and can definitely stunt the kid's social growth... everyone I know in college who was homeschooled for years and years has a lot of issues socializing with people.

I don't know much about it. If you need some concrete information I would suggest you contact the department of education.
