I prefer UPS. They are courteous.
FedEx doesn't even knock on apartment doors anymore. If the company I purchased from happens to use them, I hear the beep of their transaction monitor. When I say, "come in" there is no response.
I open the door and there is the package.
One time, I bought a wicker lamp stand that was sent FedEX. They set the two boxes, one on top of the other in front of my door. When I opened the door, I was surprised, of course. I called the front desk for help to get the boxes in my apartment. A neighbor came later to help me put my lamp stand together.

I support the Post Office. Most of the time they are cheaper than other services. On the receiving end, UPs is the most commonly one used. There is also FedX. But both are used by online shippers. I usually go with USPS because they are cheaper. But sometimes you have no choice on how something is shipped to you. Those are the UPS and FEDX people. BMaston12

I prefer USPS overall because of the cost. But for larger items UPS is pretty good.

When I ship things out it's through the USPS. Most of the time when I order things the carrier drops them off at the USPS. Our mailman is really good about knocking on the door to let us know there's a package.

I much prefer UPS! Those people are so great!

USPS is at least cheaper and actually their delivery speed is pretty good. UPS or Fedex... They could be quicker, but they toss packages like everyone else seemingly for me. If I had to choose between the two, I'm more likely to get the signature requirement from Fedex.

I don't think anyone actually comes to the door and waits for me to answer. I don't really mind that I hate answering the door. If it something I'm concerned about I will have it sent to my work.

I don't really care who ships it to me, but if I had to choose it would be USPS.
-
usps absolutely i support it seems a shame that they are not doing well so many people would be out of a job if they closed
-
My husband works for UPS so I have to choose them! lol But I use USPS for my business.
-
i prefer ups,a lot nicer than fedex...ups is a lot more courteous....
-
I really have no preference as long as the package gets there in one piece
-
I prefer USPS because of the cost but if need faster we used fedex.

I keep a PO box. It's safe, secure and keeps my home address private. I work out of my home and that's a more professional address than my apartment. Then you have the suppliers that insist on a street address. They defeat the purpose of my box. What's more they tend to leave packages out front. The suppliers agree with me that the drivers shouldn't do that with an apartment, but the drivers do it anyway. FedEx called when he didn't get an answer and found I just didn't hear him from the back room. Staples refuse to send things to PO boxes so they hire a local messenger service to deliver even the smallest item. The driver couldn't find me then wound up leaving the very oversized box in front of my door so it fell over when I opened the screen to get it. UPS seems to think the rock out front is a good place to "hide" a package. Their 800 # people are great, but the local girl calls from an anonymous number and had a very bad attitude. Why can't they just ship to the customer's preferred address, after all "the customer is always right." If they remembered that they'd put a big smile on my face and hear a lot less from me. ::) :dontknow: :angry7:

Ive been using usps. Much cheaper!

I use USPS because it's cheaper, but yes, the UPS people are way more professional. I've had to file a complaint recently with USPS because one of their carriers was putting a business' mail in the wrong box, delivering wrong mail and then when he was confronted about it---he started tossing boxes by the business' back door that had a variety of addresses & names on them not even remotely close to the business address/name.
When filing the complaint, the USPS lady didn't seem to possess the brain cells necessary to wrap her mind around the fact that their carrier was stashing boxes by the back door that was NOT supposed to be delivered there, even though I had the boxes and a business card for the business showing the business name & address. THEN. she didn't seem to think it was a big deal until I let her know those boxes could have easily been stolen.
I see alot of people posting "where's my package?" in regards to USPS. Well, with them---get a tracking number ALWAYS because they could be ANYWHERE & USPS don't care!!

Either USPS or UPS... USPS delivery people are able to get into my apartment complex, but leave the packages near the door. UPS have a 80/20 chance able to get into my apartment complex and they carry it to my door... FedEx they usually have problems getting into the door, and even if they do they leave it near inside the apartment door.

I'd rather use the post office for shipping anything. Mainly because it belongs to all of us, as taxpayers, and I like getting what I pay for.. :)

Fedex has become worse these days. They dont even bother to press the buzzer anymore, and you get the slip that says they tried 3 times already, when they didn't even try once. I will not ship thro Fedex at all.
-
I like both UPS and FED EX they are both great comps
-
My preferred shipping is UPS. I love the fast service and the driver will ring the door bell when he leaves a package. :)
-
I prefer free shipping.
-
I use the good old postal service whenever possible.
-
I don't shipped stuff much so I don't really care which company, but if I would choose it would be UPS.

I also prefer using the U.S. Postal service when I have to ship something. They are cheaper than other shippers. Fortunately, we live in a rural area and have a carport where drivers leave packages, and as retirees, there is someone at home almost every day. We've never had anything stolen. I would think that companies are unable to ship to a P.O. box because most boxes are not big enough to hold large packages.
