I have won $25 from a scratch-off. That is the most I have ever won. I have won the $5, $3, and $1 on the lotto . Still waiting for the big pay-off. BMaston12

I won $20 from scratch off ticket about four years ago. That's the most I've ever won :(
-
I used to win $1 here, $5 there, but I would have to spend $5 to get $1. I quit playing. Then one day, I had the urge to buy another scratch off and won $500! I didn't believe it and had the store owner verify it thinking I was seeing things. :)
It was good...my car was about to be repossessed because I was behind in payments. What was the total amount owed on the car? $500 and change. The finance company was willing to wait until I received my payment (at that time lottery tickets never paid off immediately on amounts over $50.. you waited 6 weeks).
The Lord certainly does work in mysterious ways.

Years ago when I needed money to put flowers in my Mom's yard I would buy a scratch off ticket and win $50 to $100 dollars but as soon as the yard was completely planted I didn't win anymore. Also when I needed money I remember winning $350 on a lottery ticket so I went and bought food and clothes my children needed.

I agree!! I have only won $2.00 myself - never any more!

A couple of bucks and just keep on dream a little dream and you'll win some day.

I won $24 once. The biggest single pay out. Have won smaller amounts $10 or so here and there. I don't buy a ticket very often. Just once in a while. But you have to subtract your winnings from what you win to know how much more you really have. It's a money maker for them not us the players. Except the ones who do actually win big. Like the poster above who won $5000. That would be awesome right now. Of course the gov't would probably take $2000 of it.

Oh forgot to say that my husband bought a fire company "calendar" one year. If the number printed on the date on the calendar would come up as the daily number, you would win so many dollars.
Well, nothing all year. Then, on the last day of the year, I got a phone call that he won $100. He was at work so I called him to give him the good news. He started laughing because it turned out that he had just bought a Buick off another worker for $100 (needed a transmission). So that $100 came in handy.
The car didn't need a transmission. The transmission fluid reservoir was almost empty. He filled it and we ran the car for over 2 years without a problem. :)

Maybe $10.00 the most...

I have never won a large amount on the lottery, although I have won plenty to pay off the ticket I bought and then could buy another. I have won several times at the casino's and the scratchers. I started out of a store one day and something said buy a scratcher and a few days later I went in and had won $400. So I spent half on groceries and came home with them (groceries were cheaper then) . Got home and hubby unloaded the van. Kinda gave me a serious look and I grinned and said they were free. I let him think about it for a few hours then handed him a hundred dollar bill and told him what happened. We both put those bills away and never said anything to each other and when we went on a trip we both had extra money to spend.

As am I. That's why I haven't won anything big lately. I hardly win the money I spend on tickets back.

One time I won $100.00.

I won a sports lottery at work many, many years ago and I had to share it with one of my coworkers. I think we both got around $50 or $60 for choosing the same numbers. That was okay because he was one of the sweetest men I ever knew.
I don't normally bet on things. I have the worst luck. Whenever I have to make a decision of any kind where there's a 50/50 chance, I always lose. It's just the way it is, but at least it keeps me from gambling and losing. :-\

I won $20 on a scratch off in 2009. I was at work and we had a machine in our store so I bought 2 $1 tickets. First one was a loss and the second was a delightful treat. I used it to treat myself to lunch lol at wing stop.
