Title: I was driving back from CT on I95 and a seagal was injured on the side road...
Post by: lvthepresent on August 06, 2009, 03:43:31 pm
cars were stopping and driving around the bird and I wanted to get off my car and rescue him but my passengers said to keep moving.  The bird was still alive and in agony, should I have picked him up?

What would you do if you see an animal hit on the road? would you stop? of course, in a safe area to rescue the animal?  Park your car around the bird or animal so no one would hit it.

of course, I'm saying if the animal is managable.  What would you do?  it breaks my heart not knowing what happened to him.  I was in shock for 5 miles.

No I would not have stopped.  If you are concerned call the authorities that deal with animals (forgot the name).  Or you could have called 911 and I'm sure they would know who to contact.

I thought of that too but I was in shock and when I thought about it I could not remember what exit we were near.  It's horrible when in shock how little we can remember.

I learned my lesson to dial 911.  Thanks for your answer.   :'(
