Your thoughts?
He has great ideas on what he would do BUT Congress will never allow him to bring those ideas to fruition because of the trade agreements and other laws. He reminds me of a bull in a china shop.
It would be wonderful if he could get these things done but it'll never happen.
-
he wants Mexico to pay for a wall to keep out immagrants from the US how funny.well atleast he gave the news channels something to talk about today.
-
I think it would be interesting.
I would like to see it happen, even for amusement sake. He's a strong individual.
There needs to be some life in politics, they seem so corrupt now, it's quite pathetic.
-
i knew this was coming --all i can say is Good Luck to him ! there are so many running --i have always liked Donald
-
I think is funny, I personally cannot stand him he is just a character that wants to show that he can and thinks that can manage the government, but he has filed bankruptcy 4 times himself. If he ever wins the good USA is really going to go down the drain LOL
-
He may have filed for bankruptcy but he is still a millionaire many times over so he knows how to get things done. I rather wish he could be elected but he's so strong in his opinions he will probably turn a lot of people off.
-
It's just publicity for his show. He did it once before.
-
He never actually runs. He just claims it for publicity.

Well, it makes you wonder. Congress has certainly allowed Obama plenty of room to do what he wants, so maybe Trump would have the same impact. As far as Trump going for the Presidency, why not? There'll be plenty of potential candidates by the time this is over.
-
I doubt if he does get to run, but he darn sure will shake up those who are running. Some one needs too. There are so darn many things wrong in our country right now. I pray we can get someone one in who is honest, loves this country, respects the military , balances the budget and get us back on the right track.
-
I can't imagine he will get any party support. I'm afraid I'd have to leave the country if he were elected.
-
same as last time no chance to win
-

No, it's not publicity for his show. He did not renew the show. In fact, that's why Mike Huckabee didn't renew his contract with Fox. When you run for president, you have to give up any TV shows/programs as it would be a conflict of interest. The FCC probably thinks it would turn into a half to 1 hour political platform, so I don't believe it's allowed.

He's not a millionaire, He's a BILLIONAIRE -> 4 Billion+ it's being reported. How does a person declare bankruptcy over & over & still manage to be a billionaire. He's a genius! The system is so crazy!
-
The man is crazy, first of all and he talks and talks that's all. No one will take him seriouly.
-
I have to see what his thoughts are on the different topics before deciding but have a feeling it would be just another case of people voting for a celebrity more than anything else
-
And even more scary - I heard the best choice for his running mate would be Oprah Winfrey.
I couldn't even form a complete sentence to respond to that. LOL
flyingmonkey - he declared bankruptcy? Really? Where did you get that info? Or was this years ago and maybe he got his money after that?
bremer - I swear that is exactly what I said earlier today. lol.
Honestly, I am afraid we are really screwed.
-
So many candidates right now...lol
-
I don't know about this. I do like Trump, but I don't agree with all his politics. I think the republicans will grow tired of him at some point. I still think Hillary should be the next president.
-
I saw it coming but I'm mad that Celebrity Apprentice won't be airing until his campaign is over. But it will be interesting to watch.
-
same as last time no chance to win
He has never declared that he was running for president before. This is the first time. Last election, he was thinking about it but never declared, even though a bunch of reporters asked him over and over.
-
I think so lets do it Trump!! He cant be anyworse than what we have had running the show
-
kingozzy, sadly I think you are wrong. It is scary but I do think we could do worse. : (
-
I don't really know who I'm supporting at this point, but I'll take Trump over Hillary any day.
-
"Jobs should stay in America!" "Uh, except your clothing line is made in China so..."
-
He surely could not be any worse than what we've got now! But, there are quite a few good, conservative people that have already announced they're running so we won't have a shortage of potentials to choose from. We need a Christian in the White House this go round!
-
I've narrowed my choices for who I'd vote for down to three well spoken, conservative men who are proud Americans. Those choices are Dr. Ben Carson, Mike Huckabee and Bobby Jindal. I believe anyone of these gentlemen would make a good president at least far better than the liberal pinko we have in the white house now!!! What ever you do friends, DON'T VOTE FOR HILLARY or Jeb Bush either probably.
-
Haven't we been there and done that. The man is crazy.
-
This should be interesting. I would like to hear his views. I think, if nothing else, he could get people to thinking about certain issues that need to be addressed. I think he's a smart man.
-
omg...just what we need.but who knows...could it be worse
-
i think he has good ideas to get us back on track financial wise, maybe, but i don't know about the rest. but you never know what happens!!!
-
He is a business man he will run this country like a business we are in trouble
-
He is a self-centered person. Trump won't get much of a following or the nomination. I think this is nothing more than a publicity stunt.
-
he is no better then any of the rest of them running. I will no vote for any of them that way when I complain about the president I can say well I didn't vote for him/her LOL
-
I guess everyone trying to run for president it's like a joke to me
-
He's getting more interest/attention on social media than any other pres hopeful---even Hillary's all nervous & tried blaming him for latest tragedy. He's got my support/vote.
-
I think he would make good on his ideas but not enough people would probably vote for him.
-
If he really want that wall built why don't he build it himself. It would put many Americans to work and hey he has the money.
-
i do not like him,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :monkey:
-
Donald Trump is such a joke. Who in their right minds would vote for him and enjoying about his views on minorities. The man is insipid, arrogant, and stupid. You can't fix stupidity.
-
This presidential race has officially turned into a three-ringed circus now that Donald Trump is supposedly throwing his hat in. His catchphrase for those being eliminated from Celebrity Apprentice: You're fired! His catchphrase for Americans IF he is elected president: You're done! :-P
-
I think the words POTUS and SCOTUS are repugnant words, but they certainly are apropos for what they represent.
As for DT running for president, I like that he's tough and he tells it like it is, but I think the ridiculous amount of candidates is a recipe for disaster. The other Republicans will spend too much time trying to destroy him and it will only weaken the party. :(
Isn't it foolish how anyone running for office attempts to destroy the character of those in their own party? It's equally awful to destroy the character of a candidate in the opposing party. What happened to issues that matter? What happened to intelligent debate and opposing viewpoints? ???
-
He's a turd and wish he would go away.
-
Apparently I am mistaken but I thought he announced he was running last time and dropped out pretty quick. Not many people take him serious.
-
I think he's a jerk, but he is who he is. And he means what he says, he's not fake like so many others. Gotta give him that much, but don't have to like him for his views.
-
Hope he fails, can't believe his even trying when his a dam racist, cruel, self centered low life.
-
I honestly think he is running only for publicity. He has to realize there is no way he is going to win. Personally I can't stand him and his ways. He is 100% for the rich people and could care less for the middle or poor class.
-
He is a business man he will run this country like a business we are in trouble
Government is a business. It's the biggest business in this country. They're in the business of making money, too, to support their "products" (which happen to be the EPA, DEP, DoE, etc.) He has dealt with businesses all over the world but I doubt heads of state. Have to do more research to find out.
As for clothing made in China...I don't know if he has a choice. He, himself, doesn't have any factories so he's not manufacturing the products. He did state why his stuff comes from China but I missed that info.
-
money buys politics and politics just plain sucks the life and integrity out of people! if he becomes president, I hope he tells some people in the white house "ya fired!" lol :moneymouth:
-
Like him but can not see him being president. But anyone has to be better than what is in there now.
-
Not sure about Donald Trump.. I heard he ran a university and use the student's tuition to to fund his real estate investment. He ripped off 5,000 students nationwide by promising to make them rich when instead they were steered into costly and mostly useless seminars. Kind of dumb to believe that the courses will guarantee to make you rich (like a Ponzi scheme) but I guess people really believed in the integrity of Trump's promise
-
He signed a book for me when he opened the Taj Mahal in Atlantic city and I had been to a few of his motivational seminars. He started to decline, in my eyes about ten years ago. I have gotten Forbes top four hundred issue every year for about twenty years and I noticed that he was becoming more and more obstinate in his net worth disclosure/ non-disclosure as he became older. I used to respect Donald Trump but heading into politics has changed him. His approach has been less than sane and he appears to be doing nothing but drawing attention to himself. His own party is saying that he should be reprimanded for his offensive and disrespectful comments about McCain. I think that he is a potent publicity stunt, has no chance at the presidency, and his acquired votes will be ceded into another hopeful.
-
When people run for something such as this they need to watch things that they say first. He offended a lot of people.
-
That's laughable to me but then again stranger people have been elected into office in this country.
-
He's very forthright, doesn't use a teleprompter, has no advisors and is using his own money. That being said I wish he would discuss Hillary Clinton more and his Republican opponents less. McCain did ask for what Trump said about him by calling Trump's very large audience "crazies." Graham asked for it also by calling Trump a "jackass." I really don't know what kind of a President he would make but anything is better than what we have.
-
Thanks everyone for your comments. I thought I was the only one who doesn't care for him. He keeps digging his heels in deeper and deeper. People love him and now I hear he may run as an Independent if he doesn't get the nomination. The picture in my mind is him standing there stomping his feet with closed fists throwing a temper tantrum.
Yes, I used to like him. But a couple years ago, I started to see the other side of him. He's ignorant. When you run for president, you don't trash the other candidates. You show some respect for them.
Plus, he keeps the media focused on him with his insults and hate and that keeps the focus off the other candidates. Have you seen many interviews with the others running? I haven't and this is how Trump works. Plus, over the years he has donated thousands of dollars to both parties so he can garner favors from whichever party is in power.
If people don't go with the candidate running against HIllary, she will surely win. I'm not ready for more intense Obamanomic policies, but twice as bad, which is what we'd get; yet it's unbelievable how many people are already stating they'll stay home and not vote if Trump doesn't get nominated. I remember that happened in 2008 because people didn't like McCain. I didn't care for him either but I didn't want Obama because i researched him thoroughly (more than what the DNC/Congress or whoever vets these candidates did). I saw what he would do and he's holding exactly to what he said he was going to do. If people would have only read up on him, they wouldn't have been so quick to vote for him. He has given our country away. It will take years to undo what he has destroyed.
That was my opinion in 2008 and I gave him 2 years to prove me wrong and he didn't. Now he's going to release criminals from prison and probably give Gitmo to Cuba...plus free the Gitmo prisoners. He's already released over 37,000 ILLEGAL immigrant criminals a/k/a Katy Steinle criminals during the year and left our borders wide open to terrorists. Never again should people vote for someone that has NO foreign policy or even political or military background experience. Twice of incompetence is enough. I'm afraid DT will fit the incompetence background, too, if he treats other countries the way he treats people.
-
At this point, I have no idea who I will vote for. But, the man is saying and making all these promises because he thinks this is what the American people want to hear. He will never deliver on said promises and quite frankly, I think he's a huge joke.
-
I have to say I admire his no nonsense approach. He says what he means and doesn't do the political double speak waltz.
-
I am looking forward to seeing Donald Trump at a debate he'll really liven it up and will discuss the topics we really want to hear!
-
Even though I always don't agree with everything he says, at least he's not afraid to speak his mind. Considering the presidents we have had in the recent past and the current candidates running, he can't be any worse. At least he'll be fun to listen to in the debates.
-
He seems to be turning a lot of people against the Republican party. He will keep saying what he thinks even though that is what will bring him down. Things he has said in the past will come back to haunt him now.
-
I think this fool might win say nooooooo.
-
It is quite refreshing!!! Saying what a LOT of people already think!
-
Donald Trump is a joke. A madman running wild. His own people are running away from him. He is making it possible for Hillary to win. Nice!!!
-
Donald Trump will get things done if he run as a Republican and has Republican house majority.
-
I don't see myself voting for him. No way, no how. I've seen his views on several issues and he does not represent people like me so...
