Did you see the latest on her? She and son Bobby were dressed as Lucy and Ricky for, I believe a twitter or a ad, don't know which one. But Bobby had on dark makeup to look Cuban, and this caused a huge uproar!

It's completely stupid. The picture was never suppose to be posted public. Someone on her twitter team done it. And even so I don't see what the big deal is. She had on a wig that was red to look like Lucy. Big deal. I don't see the big deal with the other. You call someone a bad name 30 years ago and are punished for it today? That makes no sense. Stupid people have too much time on their hands are just look for crap to be offended by.

I saw it . She really needs to have a person approve her scripts and her ideas. When your a person in the media who has already been in trouble for comments you should think twice about your ideas.

People are seriously nuts today. They'll find ANY excuse to be "offended" and try to make a huge mountain out of a mole hill. These are the people who really need to find something to do with themselves. They must be so full of self-hate they have to let off steam on someone else. I say, Get a Day Job!

It seems anymore that people are just looking for something they can call racist, it does not matter what it is or how long ago it was, Just so they can get their 15 minutes of fame and cause some kind of uproar. Our country is going to heck in a hand basket. I do not see it changing anytime soon. But it needs too. There are so many good people here and yet there are so many wingnuts just looking for something.

I never noticed that Desi Arnaz was particularly dark-complected. I don't really care. People can be stupid, just let it go. It's hard to enjoy your life if you are offended by every little thing.

People need to chill out. Everybody gets so offended over soo many things. It is getting crazy!

Love her food. It's not the healthiest but it was home cooked with love and butter.
-
I think people just look for things.
I just read an article on Arianna Grande saying she hates American & Americans, & then she & her boyfriend licked and spit on donuts in a mom & pop donut shop; Now that is offensive, no matter what lame excuse she is going with.

For the love of God! Why can't they just leave that poor woman alone! Seriously, the media has nothing better to do. :-X

I wonder how many people really get offended by stuff like this as opposed to the media just making a big deal out of it.
-
she just doesn't seem to care.

Sounds like things are being blown way out of proportion; but maybe, that's the price of fame. So glad that I don't deal with the lack of privacy.

She didn't do it. Some idiot on her team that is in charge of that stuff done it.

The people get offended after the media makes a huge deal out of it. If people didn't take the bait the media would have to find something else to do. It's like when a cop shoots a person and is totally within his rights. If it is a white cop and black man you have media headlines WHITE COP SHOOTS BLACK MAN and it's a big deal. But if a black cop shoots a white man you hear COP SHOOTS SUSPECT WHO PULLED GUN ON HIM and no mention of race. This has happened a number of times. But you have to dig to find the race of the people involved. The media knows how to get people upset and in an uproar.

Wow! People are complaining about a white guy changing his appearance to look more like a famous Cuban, and yet are fine with having Rachael Dolezal -- a white woman -- doing the same in order to actually claim that she is black and gets elected as the NAACP president in Oregon :confused1:
Gotta love double standards...

Not only that but people go out and try to get people who are working to do or say something they can be offended by so they can get attention and try to get a working person in trouble. Not sure what people get out of that.

Seeing that picture I never would have thought she was black anyway. Just well tanned.

There is no pejorative for "brown face" that I know of; it's BLACK FACE that is offensive due to the past history of black people not allowed on stage & white actors painting their faces black & pretending to be a stereotypical black person who was usually portrayed as an imbecile or comedic, that is why black face is offensive (in simplistic terms). People think they should be offended by someone trying to be famous Cuban in a costume, so dumb. Like the Wayans brothers can dress and paint their faces white & it is not offensive... it's not a double standard. In my opinion, to be offended by it, actually makes light of what the black people have historically endured and overcome, people were not treated with the same respect back in the day.

You know i really do not care people have problems with everything now, everything seems to be a problem i am so tired of arguing over celebrities for one thing.
-
I haven't seen the ad, but I don't think it should offend anyone. I don't think they were making fun of anyone and some people are just looking for something to complain about.

Here is the thing - Slavery ended a LONG time ago. No black person alive today was ever a slave. And if you read history you also know there were white slaves as well. I have been treated badly because of the way I look. I have never tried to start a law suit against someone because they are a jerk. Then again it only works if you are black or muslim. Just stating facts. The fact is people need to get a grip and stop over analyzing everything everyone else does and just looking for reasons to be offended. Or reasons to get someone in trouble. OR being jealous because someone else worked hard and has money and you are too lazy to work yourself so you just want to sue and take someone else's money.

I think people need to "get over" all the politically correct crap and just not comment if they don't have anything nice to say.
