Title: Do you like The Chevy car brand better or The Ford brand?
Post by: melodylogan45 on July 15, 2015, 03:54:07 am: I have driven Chevy vehicles often, but I have not driven a Ford, although, I really like the
Ford brand. I would not mine leasing a Ford vehicle.

My 2 cars were Chevys because the first one was a freebie and the second one was bought by my dad. After that I owned Ramblers because I really liked how they were gas mizers (for that time period). My last Rambler was a Turquoise Ramble Classic. Then I went back to a Chevy until I saw and fell in love with the American Motors (formerly Rambler) Javelin. Bought one brand new, but it wasn't a good car for more than 2 people. Back seat was too cramped and after getting back with my fiance (long story there), the kids didn't quite fit, either so we traded for a Pontiac "boat" (wagon). So big and heavy, you could easily fit 10 people in the darn thing and it was a great snow plow - went through 3 foot snow without a problem. LOL

Now we're into Buicks. Great mileage even the older ones always got 30 mph.

Post by: vickysue on July 15, 2015, 01:11:53 pm: I grew up on Chevys so preferred them, but hubby bought a ford so until I we get another I will drive it and of course the Chevy truck. I find the Chevys to be more comfortable for some reason. I would much rather have an suv then a small car. Just feel safer with a larger vehicle.

Post by: dbsaus1 on July 15, 2015, 02:44:45 pm: I have driven fords almost exclusively. I have owned 2 Explorers ( loved those trucks), an Edge (my favorite) and escapes ( great on mileage ).
I have never driven a Chevy so I have no opinion one way or another.

Post by: Tresbn00 on July 15, 2015, 06:14:59 pm: I prefer old Chevrolets circa 1967...a Camaro to be exact. Or a 1965 corvette. Not too wild about the new Camaros but the new corvettes (any corvette for that matter) are really hot. I also like the fact that it is easier and cheaper to get an engine replacement for a Chevrolet...the three hundred and fifty cubic inch engine blocks are made in a factory down south. Ford has had some winners too like the latest mustang or the 1965 Cobra. If I were to get a new hot rod I would be going with the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Smoking hot and wickedly fast-definitely a widow maker. And that is stock-before doing anything fancy with the engine. I can still figure out cars that are from pre-1970 and do my own repairs.

I like GM even less now that Obama gave part of the company to the UAW and so many people lost so much money but GM didn't have to pay back nearly what they received from the government.
