Title: Cancer and Treatments? Who here has had RADIATION Treatments?

My husband is suppose to have radiation treatments in the next couple of weeks they are to start.  They are going to be on the Head and Neck area.  Has anyone here had this kind of radiation?  His panel of doctors don't all agree and gave him the option of not having the treatments.  One doctor wants him to have the treatments but all the other (4) don't advise that he really needs them.  There is a lot of BAD side effects that come along with them just looking for some advice here.... Thanks to those who reply!

I have breast cancer.  Had surgery last August then 4 months of chemo every week followed by 34 radiation treatments every day (weekends off).  The treatment only lasts about 5 minutes.  My side effects weed  sorry were like a bad sunburn where the radiation hit.  They gave me medicated cream for it.  It also made me a little tired. I don't know why his doctors have mixed feelings that's a decision you both should make. I hope I helped even a little, if I can help anymore please ask.  I know  it's a scary thing. Good luck and let me know what you decide. God bless him I hope the cancer is cured quickly.

I had breast cancer and went through Chemo but did not have radiation treatments.  Sorry I cannot be of much help but I will pray for both of you.   :angel11: :female: :rose:
