I work at Walt Disney World. Star wars attraction, merchandise, costumed characters that you can Meet and greet with.

After all the shooting and deaths in Theaters, I never see a movie in a theater  again..
I can wait for the DVD!

Better get your tickets before they sell out. Also if your looking to see in the IMAX they are sold out for the entire month and just showing Star Wars.

I cannot believe you just said that. It is something new that 20 years after Vader died and the emperor. I guess you really never followed the Star Wars saga from the beginning and understood what was going on. Oh by the way there is more to come beside just this one. This is not the last one. There is another

My husband is so I guess we'll be going. It's not that I don't want to see it it's just that he's more of a fan than I am.

I don't know how anyone cannot be a fan of the best saga ever brought to the big screen

It's gonna break records!!! I think I'll wait until it's been out 2-3 weeks before checking it out. I don't want to go when it'll sell out.

Yes and No. I really enjoyed the original three (4-6). I honestly can't remember if I have completely watched episodes 1-3, but really didn't get into them. From the previews, I am optimistic that this will be more of a return to the format of the original saga.

This one will not be from the original format. I just read the insider and it looks and feels spectacular. I am so crazy right now that I really want to see this movie. They are already have the next one after 7 which is Rouge 1 in production. Episode 9 is also being looked at.

I'd love to go see the movie but let's face it, tickets are expensive and as already mentioned, they'll be sold out before I would get around to trying to get them. Not to burst any bubbles but some reviews said it's almost a retelling of Star Wars that came out in '77 and that a fan fav is killed off! I'll wait to see it when it comes to on demand since I have a nice big 55 inch hd t.v at home anyway. May the force be with you!

It looks and feels more like 4-6 from the ads I have seen. The issue I always had with 1-3 were that they always felt set in a universe that further along in time than 4-6 despite taking place earlier in time. My hope, and what I have seen in the ads, is that this one will be much more true to the originals.

The only reason for that might be is because it takes place 30 years after number 6. So its going to follow the events after. Which is fine with me. You really need to understand 4,5,6 to understand 7. Now if you never seen Star Wars then this is not a movie for you to watch until you see all 6 first. You just wont understand whats going on.

If you actually read my post that you quoted, it's pretty clear that I have seen ALL 6 movies.

Episodes 1-3 SHOULD have felt like 4-6. Episode 3 takes place roughly 20 years before episode 4. It didn't. That's the point. I like how this new one looks to stay true to the originals, which episodes 1-3 did not.

How thouh it led right up to Anakin becoming Darth Vader and the chancellor becoming the emperor

Really? I've stated that the setting of the universe feels like it actually takes place after episode 6. This is largely due to an over dependence on CGI, which is a common criticism of 1-3. What is so hard to understand?

Don't get me wrong 1-2 weren't actually brilliant but 3 I thought was anticipating leading up to the epic tale of how everything occurs later on. No matter what the whole Saga is great and will always be the best ever. No questions asked.

A long time ago, but not so far away, George Lucas created Star Wars. He said back then, that he wanted to do 9 films in 3 trilogies.
This new trilogy was expected long ago.

Yes he did say this, but he never said that he was ever going to sell it either.

I for one could care less.  However my son is super excited.  For his birthday we gave me a pair of tickets so he can take a friend with.  Comes with popcorn, drink and candy for them both.  One thing I have been having fun with is making star wars themed things for my cake case at work.  It's always a challenge when there isn't a color theme to use.

My first born son is renting a whole movie theater for this. I think to ingratiate his customers. I will get to babysit his youngest (my grandchild) while the older three go with their parents and I'm kinda jealous.  :P I'll see it eventually. I love sci-fi.

So far as going to movie theaters, if it's your time to go, it's your time to go. I have little to no fear about going to public places. You can't hide out in your home and enjoy life at the same time. Right?

I'm not a great fan anymore...just lost interest. But we had a heated discussion in my middle school Sunday school class about whether it was "real" or not. I guess my one little fellow wants to believe everything he sees.:glasses-nerdy:

I finally was able to see it yesterday; 3D Imax, what a great way to see it! I liked it much better than eps. 1-3, thinking that it felt more like the original (but perhaps just a tad more violent, which to me made it more realistic). However shortly after getting back home, my friend (who had gone with me) and I were discussing various plot holes and / or other miraculous events that felt way too coincidental. It seemed like there were just too many of them that 1) I'm now questioning everything I saw (including the "death" of the beloved character as someone else mentioned earlier) and 2) I actually have a theory that they are there not because of sloppy writing or "movie magic", but rather because of a true master of the Force being able to arrange many aspects of the universe. Still, I think that that last theory is just a little too deep, so more likely just poor writing (which is a shame considering some other good things about the movie)...
