I have not been, but I have heard a lot of positive things about taking a cruise. I hope to go one day.
I was told the food great and entertainment are great.
-
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes....I have been on a cruise and I was treated like royalty. It was a terrific experience and I'd love to go again if the situation were right.
Personally, if I could go on a cruise with a man that I'm deeply in love with.....
I think I would experience a dream come true.
-
No I have not and don't really plan on going on one.
-
OMG you will love it!!! I was on a cruise this past summer (June) and it was fabulous! They treat you like royalty and all you can eat food and drink (minus alcohol beverages), and everything is TAX FREE (duty free) on the ships! Love love love it and I plan on going back next year! Hope you decide to go! :)
-
No. I might like to go on one.
-
I've cruised twice. Both with carnival. Once with my best friend. And the other with my ex-husband. I would do it all over again with my best friend. We had so much fun on the ship. My ex and I spent more money on land participating in excursions. If I could do it again I would...and since I understand the benefits of cruising now I would take hold of the itinerary and customize my land and see adventure to suit me.

I have also heard lots of great things about cruises - that they are a lot of fun and feature great food and fun destinations. But you also hear a lot about mass illnesses happening on cruise ships and that is what keeps me from
going on a cruise altogether.
-
I've been on a few of them. Depends on the boat: the last one I was on wasn't that great.
-
nope..never been on one...too much water for me

Add me to the list who say "Sign Me Up!" I went on a cruise 25 years ago as a teenager and it still remains the best vacation I have ever taken -- even better than Disney World which I finally made it to a few years ago for the first time. Disney was special and I would love to go again, but a cruise is so much cheaper in the long run. It is very similar to a resort vacation with all of the activities and amenities available on cruise ships these days -- they really are huge resort hotels that float on water. Depending on what ports you visit, you have the luxury of lounging (or being active) at the various spots/rooms on the ship and your next sight-seeing destination "comes to you" so to speak. You don't have to hop a bus or plane or train and travel all night to get there (at least it doesn't feel like it) -- you just wake up in your stateroom one morning and you are at the next stop!
As for the comment quoted above, I don't have hard data to say exactly, but the occasions of mass illness outbreaks on cruise ships are such a small percentage of the overall numbers, they just get reported out the wazoo when they DO happen because it sells newspapers and gets/keeps the TV viewers attention. When was the last time you saw a news story about a commercial airplane that departed/arrived on time with no incidents or issues? When was the last time that you DID NOT hear about a plane that had major and/or catastrophic problems? Millions of people still fly everyday without incident.

I have been on a few and loved them. You are treated like a queen, the staff will bend backwards to ensure you have everything you want. The food is outstanding. Everything is paid except alcohol any gifts you buy and any money you spend gambling. Pick the cruise you want to see the islands or countries you are interested in. You will love it!
-
yes..love to go on cruises! Last cruise I went on was the 7 day cruise in Hawaii on NCL. It's great to get on get on board, get your room, leave ur stuff there and have the freedom to go out and explore different ports. Then come back an enjoy so much food :)
-
I would like to go on a cruise, but my husband says he will not go on one :(
I would like to take an Alaskan cruise as well as one in the Bahama area
-
No, I have not but would love too one day. Everything I hear about them sounds great.
-
I have not, and dont plan to, have a fear of deep water
-
no but my sister and i are going on a first cruise in march of 2016 --i am so excited i can hardly wait --we have not decided exactly where we are going but i am sure it will be jamaica or close there any ways
-
I went on a three day cruise (just to satisfy my wife) and it was fun with lots of good food, but I would much rather Condo Hop around the country. I like having more freedom to go wherever I want and choose different places to eat with even more variety. As far as entertainment, I would rather go to high ticket shows in big Casinos.
-
No, I never been on a cruise. To me personally they seem a bit anxiety inducing. I'm sure the ocean views and destination stops are spectacular, but being on a boat with thousands of people out in the middles of the sea seems scary. Scenes from Titanic pops in my mind (not to mention a few tragic news stories). But that's just me being a scardedy cat.

We are going this February and can't wait.
-
My husband and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon four years ago.
We stopped in Jamaica, Cozumel, and the Cayman Islands.
I thought it was great and would love to go on another.
-
I have never been but I would love to go some day. Alaskan cruises I have heard are just beautiful. I have also heard that the food is just delicious too!
-
Yes many times, I love cruising,,,,,,one price for everything!!!
-
I went on an Alaskan cruise, and really enjoyed myself. There was so much beautiful senery and lots of sea life to watch. Also went on a short hop to Catalina Islands and totally enjoyed that one also. But as far as going on a long cruise I would rather travel and see the land and do a lot of sightseeing that way. I prefer to stop and shop also to take my time.
-
No, I haven't but I'm happy to read everyone's opinions (a lot of positive experiences). My husband and I were looking into vacations for next year and a cruise has come up. I'll have to share what I learned with him. Thanks!
-
no and no thank You I would rather keep my feet on solid ground :) to many ship wrecks and fires on them ships
-
I wish It is on my bucket list
-
Not yet, but plan to go some day.
-
Yes. I have been of three cruises and have loved every minute spent on board the cruise ship. You are treated like kings and queens.
-
I went on a cruise about 25 years ago and I did enjoy it. I don't know that I would want to go on a cruise on one of those really large ships. I don't like that many people around me. The one I was one was fairly small.
-
have nevernbeen on a cruise not sure I would go now tomuch ngoing on in thr world right now
-
I have been on 3. To Alaska and 2 to the Caribbean. They were all great fun.
-
No but I would like to go someday.
-
Sadly I have to say I have never been on a cruise but it is on my list of things to do.
-
No I have not but I do have a fear of another Titanic so I probably never will.
-
no not really a water person and would rather stay on land.
-
No, but I would like to go on a cruise someday.
-
I haven't. I hear both good and bad things about them though. I can't decide if I want to go on one or not.
-
No doesn't tempt me. find them a bit claustraphobic
-
Yes i have been on a cruise and I'm planning on taking another one. The first one i went to was to the Bahamas so i would like one to the Caribbeans next
-
I have been on a 5 day cruise and a 7 day cruise. I want to take a 10 day cruise because I find the time goes by quickly. Too quick. Had such fun I did not want it to end. So if you don't mind water go for the longer cruise.
-
Not yet, but I want to go one day. I heard a lot of my friends went and said it was pretty good.
-
Not an official cruise, but a similar size boat...I'm hoping to soon - I have heard it's a lot of fun!
-
never been. But would like to go on one! :)
-
I have been on a cruise but it was only a short journey of a couple of nights. What I liked most about the cruise was the great, endless food, the relaxing activities, coffee bars, piano lounges which made the trip very rejuvenating. The entertainment was pretty good. The only thing I wished I planned better was my cabin which was very small and as I was trying to cut a few corners on the price of the room, had gotten myself a room without a porthole. So at night time, when all the lights were out, I felt somewhat claustrophobic!
-
I love cruises the food and entertainment is great!
-
I have not been not sure if I want to with the problems they are having :-\ :-\
-
No but I would like to go with my husband. My boys are not crazy about going on one.
-
yesssss i have I love royal Caribbean best food best staff love the view !!!! :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow:

This must be my day to be a total downer, but there is very little I liked about cruising. I think it depends on who you go with. I am not a big eater, so having all the food you want does not impress me. I did not like the huge lines waiting to get on the ship. It's not at all like the old movies show you. I felt like we were all cattle being herded onboard.
The people I went with wanted to party and drink all night long, eat as much as they could stuff in their faces, lie around the pool not moving, etc. I need more activity than that. Plus you never even know you're on the ocean at all unless you make a special effort to get up on deck, and the wind velocity is incredible unless you're in a protected area.
I did have one friend who worked out and was happy to have someone to work out with. Later on, she told me she went to singles dance and it sounded absolutely debauched. Not my style either.
I would tell those of you who have husbands who say they get seasick or whatever that you definitely do not know you're on the ocean or even moving most of the time. I don't think people have much of a problem with seasickness. There were a couple of times when I was lying down on my bed that I sensed movement, but it was very little. Just a gentle rocking for a short time.
I spent WAY more money than I ever dreamed I would spend in one place at one time in my life. My friends told me I had to buy gowns to wear to go to dinner, but that's just because there are photographers there to take pictures of you and make you spend more money! They also give you a card to use to spend which makes it difficult to track what you're spending.
My group chose to eat dinner at 8:00 p.m. in the evening which is way too late for me. One of the guys was very proud that he could get all the steak dinners he could handle at one time at every evening meal! Really!!!???!!!??? Then they spent the rest of the night drinking, drinking, drinking.
I could go on, but you get my drift. Get it; drift? :D
So I have no desire at all to ever go on a cruise again. Perhaps a more sedate cruise on a different cruise line.
:fish:
-
I have been on a cruise to the Caribbean and one to Mexico. They were. Other a lot of fun and I hope to take one to Alaska in the future.
-
No, i've never been on a cruise.
-
I have never been on a cruise. To be honest, I was interested in going in the past. But with all of these incidents of people mysteriously disappearing, I decided against it. :-(
-
No I have not been on a cruise I don't know if I would even like to take one.
-
I have been once on a royal Caribbean and many times on Norwegian and they were all good times
-
I went to a lot of cruises already. Love to go one in the near future.
-
No. I think I would enjoy a short cruise. Maybe 1 or 2 nights. Not so sure about a long cruise.
-
No but I hear it's a great time .. hoping I will get to take one someday.
-
No matter what age you are (I was 16) you will have a blast on a cruise vacation! Can't wait to go on one with my boys now that we are over 21! But seriously, best vacation of all in my opinion! Do it!
