Classic movies are my fav. For Christmas, I like It's a Wonderful Life (that I've seen about 100,000 times), A Christmas Story, Miracle on 34th Street :santa: and A Christmas Carol (with Scrooge, you know. All the versions are great!) My daughter loves the Patrick Stewart version while I favor Alistair Sim (very old, but very cool). The Bells of St. Mary is good too.
So far as newer movies go, I like Christmas Vacation and Elf. Polar Express is good too. Home Alone is nice (but it doesn't seem as Christmasey to me).

I'm totally wondering why no one mentioned A Christmas Carol. There are several wonderful versions of this.
Patrick Stewart does a mean Ebenezer Scrooge, for sure, but the older versions are spectacular as well.
Here's a clip of Scrooge (Patrick Stewart) after he's been visited by the three spirits of Christmas:

My children and I watch Arthur Christmas every Christmas. I got it from Redbox one year and loved it! I had the option to buy it last year for $5, I have no idea why I clicked no smh. I hope that offer is available again this year- it'd save me lots on renting it for years to come.
-
my all time favorite is a Christmas story .. you'll shoot your eye out! most of the newer movies are always romance oriented more than anything, don't care for those.
-
Classics for real, New ones just is not good anymore.
-
One of my all time favorite Christmas movies is "White Christmas" with Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby. They were such a great double act and I must say I'm really sold on the innocence and wholesome-ness of movies of yester-year! My favorite part of the movie is when Danny Kaye has to distract the General so that he doesn't see they are preparing a surprise party for him. So Danny Kaye fakes a leg injury and promptly starts hopping around making all sorts of moaning and groaning noises. They don't make them like they used to do they?
-
Love Miracle on 34th St (the original). Also love Christmas Carol (the original) but have to say, for laughs it would be Elf. Watch it every time it comes on and I still love it.
