Yesterday I was out and about and went to put a five dollar bill in the Salvation Army kettle. When I opened my wallet, the five dollar bill I was certain was inside was gone. I realized I had already spent it several days earlier and had not remembered. I mentioned to the bell ringer that I will catch a kettle soon, but a stranger behind me said, "It is national giving day so I will put in five dollars for you. Just please put in your five another time."

No but I think the Pay it forward idea is really awesome - I just haven't seen an opportunity to do it when I was able however I do give to the homeless that live in the woods near my home - have given money and gone and gotten them food.

That was really a nice thing to do, I have paid it forwarded in the pass and will continue to do so when I am able It is a good feeling when you can help someone.

I don't know that I necessarily pay it forward. But I certainly do donate and give when I get the chance. I am rarely the recipient of an act of kindness, but I know others need things more than I do.

I'd love to do this someday.
