So, it's been announced that Cold Play will be performing this year...who's excited about that?

Guess I'll be getting food and not be paying attention during the halftime show.

I thought it was a poor choice. They only have 1 #1 hit and 2 others that made it into the top 10 (placing at #8 and #10, so making it to top 10 by not that much); although being from the UK, they do have more hits in other countries esp. Europe. And when you consider that the SB is a purely American event, you'd think they'd try to pick a group that more Americans enjoyed. Also, most of their songs tend to be what I'd consider soft rock; for a half-time show, I'd think they'd want a group that would pump up the audience, not put them to sleep. I agree that this year, I'll probably pay very little attention to the show as opposed to other years.

I really wanted Metallica to play the halftime show. its their home state and they would be a great halftime band.

As long as the Panthers win, I'm good with whoever they have at half-time. My son is a big football fan and he lives in Charlotte, so I think it would be fun if they won.
