Title: Do Holidays Throw you off schedule?
Post by: metsrock69 on January 02, 2016, 10:35:33 am: When there is a holiday or 2 days off in a row because of a holiday, does it throw your week off? I find myself sometimes asking, what day is today.

One more holiday event tomorrow & life [& eating habits] will resume back to my normal routine. :)

The kids are just. too loud and the Xbox games seems to go non stop. I want to go back to the normal days again I want some me time so I can do things a little quietly and without interruption. It is a bittersweet but yes I need to go back to the normal routine.

Post by: vickysue on January 04, 2016, 03:34:04 pm: The holidays don't seem to throw me off. But bad weather just seems to upset all thinking. It seems like when it is bad one day just runs into another. Get up and look out side and I go darn another day stuck in the house.

The teams at the company that pays for a holiday off generally become very scattered and production levels go way down. Management does not seem to care and it makes it hard for me to focus on my work. One good thing about holidays is that useless meetings are minimized. I had to take two weeks in December or I would lose the vacation benefit. It was really kind of nice. I spent time with my family and was only working about ten hours a day. It was really rough going back to work last Monday though. I spent one day returning phone calls and e-mails, another day planning the week and determining project completion points, and the last three days dealing with system issues.

Yes! That happened after MLK weekend.

The way they see it, if you have to work then you get paid for it & work comes before family time. It's aggravating because I really can't plan anything in advance.
