Title: Oreo warning
Post by: sgluckadoo on January 16, 2016, 09:48:31 am
Do not waste your hard earned money on the brownie batter limited edition flavor. First, the smell is awful. Second, the taste isn't much better. Be warned.

Different strokes for different folks. I am sure there are people who just love them and I bet Oreo did plenty of testing before they released them.

I usually buy the original, so that isn't a concern of mine. The only other Oreo variety I've ever tasted was the Vanilla with lemon center (and double stuffed. I love double stuffed). I don't remember if I liked them or not, but I don't recall hating them ever. So I guess they tasted okay. Maybe in the future I'll try the different flavors.

I don't care for brownies so I'm not likely going to buy brownie batter oreos. I've tasted the lemon oreos and really like that one.

What was so funny when I read the "topic" I was sitting here eating an Oreo!!  Almost spit it out when I read the title.   Mine was an original.  I don't usually try the varieties.   Whew, did I feel better and went about eating my Oreo when I read the post.    :D :D

I love it when you dunk an oreo and hold a tip of it in the milk for a bit to let it get sauggie, so good!

I'm a sucker for sweets.  I haven't tried an oreo yet that I haven't liked.  The mint ones are my favorite...at least so far.  This post reminds me of something... I had an idea to send to Nabisco.

Appreciate the warning but I quit eating any type of oreo cookie a long time ago because of the corn syrup/hfcs.  There are organic oreo type cookies that have better ingredients so I just stick with them.  It was nice of you to warn people that these also don't taste good.  Have a good day.

I don't usually buy them anyway, I got a free pack of them a while ago, and I think it is still in the fridge. Not too much of an Oreo person.

I don't often buy cookies,  I prefer fresh baked and make my own stuffing but I'm glad you have shared this info with us as I will pass it on.  I remember as a child and younger adult eating these but never went over well for me.  Thanks again!

This is just your personal opinion.  They do testing before they market a product.  I am sure a lot of people really like this flavor.

Thanks for the warning, but I don't think I would have tried them anyway.  I personally like the vanilla oreo cookies better than the chocolate.

I don't think they are terrible, but they certainly aren't the best flavor. So far, my favorite Oreo flavor is the peppermint ones they release around the holidays. I could eat those all day, every day!

Oh that reminds me....I have half a pkg left in the cupboard.

I better eat those up soon. Wouldn't want them to get stale or anything (a-hem, munch, munch)

Well of course it is my personal opinion. I haven't conducted a scientific study on the topic, lol.

I haven't seen that flavor of Oreos.  My favorite is the Lemon Oreos!

I like those too! It is the right lemon, you know? Lemons is hard to do and do it well. They nailed it.

I prefer the original Oreos myself.  Or the peanut butter!  But then I love anything with the combination of chocolate and peanut butter!

Really don't know why people would eat them. Harmful to them. But I say that as I eat things that are bad for me all the time.

I never buy anything but the original oreos or the vanilla oreos. Just doesn't seem right to keep changing the flavors all the time.  If it's not broken don't fix it.
