This morning, I was crying to my husband. I was telling him how I was crying out to God, begging Him to help me and He wasn't helping me and I didn't know why. My motivations were good, my requests were selfless.
Come to find out God wasn't answering my prayers because He was using my circumstances to convict me / open my eyes to an area where I wasn't being obedient / like Christ. Now I am so very thankful He didn't answer my prayer in my timing, but in His - otherwise I wouldn't be making the changes that need to be made.
God is constantly transforming us more and more into the image of His Son - I am so grateful for that! God is so good!!

Amen. God works in His timing. I'm dealing with a similar situation and I"m praying, etc. But God's gonna answer it in His timing and it may not be the same answer that I'm looking for.

I don't know what faith you belong to and don't want to make any assumptions or start any flame wars, but if you are Catholic or are open to a perspective written by a Catholic priest, you might want to read The Promise: God's Purpose and Plan for When Life Hurts.
It was written by Fr. Jonathan Morris who was a classmate of mine in college.
It sounds like you have already sorted out your circumstances and have come to a good place as a result. And this book may not even address your situation, but it still puts things in a good perspective.

I am so happy to hear that you understand what God has for you, sometimes it is no to your prayers, but God time is not like our time. To God be the glory!

Great to see you got the answer to your prayer. We have a great God and the best answers to prayer are the ones we look back at and understand what God is telling us. The key, never stop praying and the answer will come (sometimes it may not be what we like but it will be right).

Amen! God's timing isn't always our timing for which I am very thankful. It's hard to sit by and be patient when you are hurting or wanting/needing something immediately. Human nature says to try to fix it yourself but the benefits are so much better when you wait on God to do His thing. Besides, God's answers are not always what we are wanting to receive but they are the ones we need.

I do believe that God answers you, but in his time. It may comes to you in a different way, but he does it in his time, when and how and not in your time which would be "Now".

Amen! God does work in mysterious ways but regardless He does what is always best!!

God is awesome, God is Good, praise be to the most High God Christ Jesus. While praying, *ALWAYS* give Him praise, no matter your situation or your outcome. Keep your faith and God can works wonders in your life. Amen and Amen. :heart:

God usually answers our prayers in many ways and His timing and answer might not always go hand in hand with what we think. Sometimes God says yes to our prayers, sometimes He says no, while other times He says wait. He gives an answer but not always the one we want. Sounds like it come out OK in the end. Never stop praying because He hears your cries. Thanks for sharing.

God never seems to answer my prayers the way I want Him to. And he never answers them when I think He should. But He always answers them according to His will and in His time. And I seem to be doing quite well with His help.
