I have found that eating leftovers is not only time efficient but also it saves money.
-
I certainly do. I find that some leftovers are as good as when freshly made. For example, I like meat loaf sandwiches the next day. Very good on occasion. Some foods also do better after they sit and the flavors somewhat "marinate." Like you said, it's also thrifty.
-
Yes, especially when it's delicious. I even save leftover food that didn't turn out so well in case someone wants to doctored it up to make a whole new meal...If it isn't eaten within 2 days, it's thrown out. There's no reason for food to take up space, when no one is going to eat it.
-
Yes, I don't waste food.

I love to eat leftovers. When I cook, I usually make extra just for that purpose. It's easy to carry to work and put in the microwave. Or if I;m late getting home I can put it in the microwave for a quick meal. But I like using crock pots because that it a convient way to cook and have leftovers.

Yes, some of our very best meals are leftover meals. There are a lot of foods like spaghetti and pot roast that seem to taste better the second and third times around, don't you think?
-
Yes I do. Food is getting too expensive not to.
-
Yes, I can't afford to not eat leftovers.
-
Yes. If I have them I sure do. Sometimes I share with the dogs or cats.
-
Yes, I do eat leftovers.
-
Yes. I don't like to waste food.
Some dishes are even better as leftovers, like chili or spagetti... when the flavors get to marinade.
-
Well today I ate a leftover meatloaf sandwich. I save most foods to eat later
-
I use to eat leftovers for the same reasons you mentioned. I don't anymore for different reasons. I now eat to give my body the nutrients it needs. After food is cook, it loses it's nutrients with time. Health issues have me looking at a ton of things differently.
-
Yes, I eat leftovers, I try not to throw away or waste food. Sometimes, depending on what it is, I can add something like sewed tomatoes and have a new dish or some type of salad.
-
I always cook extra for certain meals to take leftovers. It saves time and money.
-
I love leftovers.
-
I eat leftovers but my kids typically don't. I hate wasting food (and money!!)
-
Yes I eat leftovers, I hate wasting food.
-
At times I do, depends on what the leftover is. I can't eat reheated chinese food. But I am always eating reheated pizza or chicken!
-
with a family of four, two of which usually work the next day...we rarely have leftovers to eat lol. what is left from dinner the night before is usually packed into travel plates so they can have it for lunch the next day. it is a great money saver though, saves them from buying lunch.
-
I have them for lunch the next day. I especially like to cook extra baked potatoes so I can fry them for breakfast and add chili and spices, or even mixed with scrambled eggs and covered in cheese.
-
oh heck yes i do ...............

Left overs taste better the next day

Since I make a lot of my own gluten-free food (goulash, stew, soup, etc.), I eat leftovers. Gluten-free food is highly expensive, so I don't waste it! Much of the food I make can be frozen. That way I can take it out and defrost it on days when I don't feel like cooking. It also saves time when I have guests over. Freezing quick breads and homemade applesauce are great for that! Then I just have to fix the main part of the meal.
-
Love how sometimes the taste sorta change because it was overnight in the fridge.
-
All the time, especially on the night I get home too late to cook.
-
I normally try to make enough so I have leftovers for lunch the next day.
-
There is nothing wrong with eating left overs. I left over can last three days, I will eat it.
-
I always eat left overs. I can't afford to throw out food. It is just too expensive to throw away. Just look at the prices in the stores on how they have increased prices on everything.
-
Every time I cook I always eat leftovers
-
If the food was good the first time, it will be good the 2nd time. That is my thought.
-
Definitely no way I would waste food
-
only from the day before. more then that it goes down the garbage disposal
-
Only when they're not spoiled.
-
Yes I do when ever I have any which is seldom anymore.
-
I usually have them for lunch the next day or make it into another meal. It Does save time and money.
-
I think leftovers are a great way to save money, but you do have to plan ahead and keep some variety. Otherwise, the temptation is to eat something different, and the leftovers eventually go bad. Some leftovers are great and even more tasty the next day and are versatile too.
-
Of course I eat leftovers! It is easy to just reheat and have a quick meal.
Sometimes, I use the leftovers to create a different dish.....leftover pork roast becomes BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, for example.
-
i usually dont have any leftovers and if we do hubby eats them i dont
-
It depends on what the left over is. I like left over chili and most pasta dishes. I can only eat left overs if it is from the day before. Once it is the second or third day, I have to throw it out because in my head I think it is bad.
-
Oh you bet! Food is expensive. For me, what a waste it would be to throw out leftovers.
Plus, some leftovers taste even better the next day. I have learned to perk them up with something else added to them, herbs etc.
I often cook enough to last a few days, and just enjoy them all over again the next day.

At my house there in no such thing as left overs. The boys eat everything. And if there is rarely any leftovers, they will eat it after school the following day. But yes it does save your a lot instead of eating out daily.
-
I adore driving home knowing that there are things I can eat right away just by heating up, even though I do like cooking.
I'm a big fan of leftovers. I'm glad to see so many FCers are leftover devotees as well.
