Title: Do you think Cruz is playing games?

I don't believe for one second he dropped out. I believe he has probably cut a deal to win a "contested convention" and Donald Trump runs third party ensuring that Hillary wins and we have a 3rd Obama administration. Your vote does not count.

I don't see a conspiracy here.  I believe Cruz and Kasich both dropped out simply because the Trump train roared past them.  Neither candidate had a chance to get enough delegates to challenge Trump, let alone win the nomination.  I was and am a Cruz girl; I don't trust Trump; however, I'll vote for him to prevent an Obama third term disguised as a Hillary presidency.

I think Cruz stayed in as long as it was still possible to prevent Trump from winning the nomination on the 1st ballot (thereby creating a contested convention). However once it became evident that Trump would be able to win the nomination on that 1st ballot when the delegates would have to vote according to their state's split of delegate votes, then he truly dropped out not wanting to dilute Trump's vote in the general elections. I think with Cruz holding onto his delegates, it is more as a way to influence the party itself (eg what the party platform says) rather than trying to influence the nomination. It's also a way to court the delegates for the next election.

I think Cruz ran to stop Trump.  However, he soon realized Trump wouldn't be stopped.

Well between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, I choose to just not vote because they are basically the same on every issue except immigration and a few social issues. Hillary could run as a moderate Republican in my opinion... It's obvious liberals don't really like her, they want Bernie, but we all know Hillary is unstoppable machine...

Write-in "anyone but them" when you vote, haha!  :P

i agree that when he saw he couldn't stop Trump he bailed --this election is just ... ugh !
