i like to go outside for peace and quiet but usually it's at work and it's not actually quiet outside but quieter than inside. less people bug me outside. i get stopped in the break room and i don't want to be in there.

When my husband goes to bed early, is my quiet time alone! LOL

To bed for six hours every night and never ever have a hard time falling asleep. I, like most men, also find sanctuary in the bathroom. People always wonder why men spend so much time in the bathroom. It is because no one will bother us there. A lot of guys take a book/newspaper in and spend thirty minutes without interruption and nary a care in the world. I generally just visit half a dozen sites on my phone. If I were to try either of those around my family, out in the open, they would interrupt me incessantly. It is bad enough that they feel compelled to hold all of their days questions for the exact moment I sit down to my home computer to start my second job! So I guess I would have to say that the bathroom provides the best sanctuary from intrusions.

I sometimes go to lay down on my bed during the day if I'm tired. Occasionally I'll put the tv on in my room, but if I'm really tired, I'll just nod straight off to sleep. Like today, we had to get up very early to take my sons to their football games. We were out for a number of hours, walking round, climbing steps in the football stadium and rushing from here to there. I was exhausted when we returned home so I excused myself and went to lay down. Two hours later, I'm still exhausted and I find myself wondering what I can magic up for dinner that doesn't involve me getting out the chair!

We have a deck with a pool and give relaxing mood.
-
My basement especially in the summer since it is cooler than upstairs.

That barely exists for me, haha. Saturday night I spent an hour in the bath with my journal and a Lush bath bomb and it was as close to relaxed and peaceful that I have felt in a VERY long time. Definitely need to carve out some time a couple nights a week for that!

after a long day at work i go for a walk in the park
-
This might sound like a weird answer, but the gym. I pop in some tunes and get a nice escape. It's nice to be able to take out some aggression on those weights.
-
I do like the ocean beach....very nice!
-
There's a nature trail nearby that's really nice. There's a huge pond where you can see the ducks and on the other side you can walk over the bridge and see the river. Then the trail leads up to a park with wild geese who like to roam around.

I take time for myself when everyone is in bed.
-
At home taking a bath away from the kids.

The only place I can get peace and quiet time is when I go to my house every other weekend. The rest of the time I live at my daughter's house so I can keep my 11 month old grandson while she works. She also has 2 stepsons that constantly pick on each other.
-
At night when everyone is asleep, or doing my time of meditation.
-
I love my home for "peace & quiet" time.......I try to keep it as tranquil as possible.
-
At home on our deck facing the mountains
-
I miss going to the beach, but it is an 2 hour drive from me now. I just like to go for a walk at the park or something when I want some peace and quiet time. Walking helps me to clear my head.

I live in an apt. building now.
My son built me a raised bed garden in the back yard at his place.
He has a little shady back portch off his garage, and I can relax and enjoy.
My happy place, quiet place, and a place for me.

I go walking daily for peace and quiet. Family peace and quiet is going to the race track and hearing race cars fly by, the smell of the race fuel.
-
It used to be walking but I have been to sick to do that. I sure dont feel like i am getting it anywhere these days. :(
-
In the bathroom but there's always a lil girl wanting to know where daddy is.
-
I want to be alone at home.
-
In my bedroom when everyone is asleep.

I live in a suburby type town. So our neighborhood is always flourishing with some sort of noise. We have local parks... but none are really quiet. Although now that kids are in school there are a few places along the Illinois River where it's natural, serene and peaceful. Although I don't have the opportunity to meditate in those areas often.... so I opt for the times in in my car. Alone. Or at work, on a very rare occasion the store is empty... and I'm the only one in the department. Ahhhh so nice!
-
I don't need a special place but generally in my bedroom
-
In my bedroom where I can relax and read a book
-
I go to the library or the park.
-
In my house especially when the neighbors and traffic keep it down. 8)
-
my truck just sit in it lay back and relax for quiet time
-
I like to go to my local library for peace, quiet, and solitude. I am a loner and bookworm by nature, so that place is absolutely perfect for me to get lost in myself and the world of books.
-
On my back porch.
-
I just sit on our patio, which has a lot of woods and trees out back and it is always very quiet and peaceful ; during the winter, during the winter months I have peace and quiet whenever my husband is not in the house :)
-
I like to go out into the back of my property and sit in a pergola my husband built for me. It is surrounded and covered by trees so is always cool in the summertime and it is so quiet out there, I can read for hours on end without being disturbed.
-
i just lay down in bed and snuggle with my cat....... :cat:
-
I live alone; except that I now have a very quiet cat. I love my lifestyle.

My room, listening to music with my headphones on. And when I work out.
