Today, do you still have a landline phone in your home? I do not have one, but would not mine getting one as a backup phone.
-
There's still a landline phone in my home. I mostly uses it for long distance call.
-
Ha! No.
Not since like 2002.
-
Don't even know lf my landline can be activated, now just sits gathering dust some where.
-
When I first got my my internet, I had a phone line I didn't know about. then I got the triple with cable for the discount. I only use it for work purpose.
-
Yes, I still have a landline phone. I live in the country with no cell towers nearby so I get no signal at all. Hence the landline. Besides if the cellular network crashes or an asteroid knocks the communication satellites out of place how are you to call your cellular network to complain... :silly:
-
Yes I have a landline phone. My home security system is connected to it.
-
I have a house phone but the phone don't work anymore. I use my cell phone for everything. All I ever got on my house phone was sales calls. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

I like to have a landline in my home, although don't use it that frequently. Since I get inclusive calls on my mobile phone, it doesn't make sense to make calls on my landline. However, the two main reasons I keep my phone is firstly, occasional surveys/web interviews require the occasional use of a landline, secondly, some of my relations live in other countries and it makes it easier for them to call me on my landline. I use Skype whenever possible for international calls, but some older relations don't have internet and therefore can't use Skype.

I still have a land line phone as my youngest does not have a cell phone yet and his friends contact him on our land line.
-
yes I do still have one :) I also now have a cell which is handy if the power goes out to call the power company.
Since I have my landline through the cable company, if the power goes out so does the phone

Absolutely with four extensions and have no plan to eliminate it. It is more reliable than a cell phone and never needs to be charged toi work. At about $6 a month, it is not a financial burden and it lets me use a less expensive cell phone plan too. In fact in addition to our home phone, my wife and I each have a cell phone and the total bill for everything is less than $35 a month.

I dropped the landline about 4 years ago. Now with all of us having cell phones we don't need a landline.
-

-
I don't. I never had my very own. My mother got rid of any she has had in the house I grew up in.

Yes, you still need a landline phone if your power goes out or your cell phone battery dies out.

We still have one, but rarely use it. Long distance is free. In fact, I thing the whole phone line is free with cable and internet.

We still have a landline phone. It's completely useless and I question why we still have one.

I got rid of my landline phone in 2004 and cut the cord on Cable 3 years ago. I am financially better off now than I was.

I know what you mean. I often get calls saying whatever about my computer; out of date, virus, microsoft updates, etc. and sometimes they say they are with the FBI and that I've broken the law and they need allowed access to my pc. I doubt the FBI would be interested in my fusion cash history and if so doubt they'd leave a message informing me that they need access and for me to return their call. I never answer the phone, always screen and call if it's an actual call I need to address.

I haven't had a landline phone since 2006
