Title: What song get’s you up and going in the morning?
Post by: MichelleHW101 on October 16, 2016, 03:14:18 am: I am not a morning person (nor a coffee drinker) so I need a little extra ‘slap my face, get up and go’ so the song that always wakes me up in the morning is…Walkin’ on Sunshine my Katrina and the Wave

It's just so...I don't know how to explain it but it's just pretty energizing. It's by Ramin Djawadi, he also did the Game of Thrones opening song.

Post by: lvstephanie on October 19, 2016, 02:22:00 pm: I don't have a morning song per se but rather a music genre.... Since I'm more of a Night Owl with an Early Bird's schedule, I'm usually very tired in the morning so I love getting pumped up by some good ol' rock and roll.

I mean the first line alone, 'Let's roll the windows down, turn the radio up, and let the wind blow through our hair,' will get anyone psyched about facing the day even if they don't really listen to this kind of music.

Some of them (like with all genres) I just don't care for, but Little Richard, especially Good Golly, Miss Molly, just makes me want to get up and dance around. When I play that against Jerry Lee Lewis' 'Great *bleep* of Fire' yes, I am definitely ready to face the day.

My youngest daughter loves this song and got me hooked on it. We sing along to it & I always catch her smiling so I know it makes her mornings as well as mine just sharing a fun, silly & relaxing moment with my daughter before she starts her day.
