Post by: melodylogan45 on October 25, 2016, 04:46:17 am
Do you purchase self help cds's, like how to deal with stress, keeping a positive
Attitude, getting out of debt, mass communicator & etc?

I buy them and move them to my mp3 player so i can
Listen to them at work.

The cd dealing with stress has helped me s lot.

No, I have never purchased those self-help CDs. I think the closest thing I purchased was a self-help book on anxiety, lol! But hey, if the CDs work for you, that's great. I prefer to read, so listening to someone would probably put me to sleep.

I was presented a set of eight from a business coach that I employed for two years and loved them. I don't commute longer then eight minutes so the trouble of turning on my phone to listen to them isn't worth the trouble. Once or twice a year I will visit my parents that live fifteen driving hours away. I will go to the library and borrow five or six self help CD's and twenty music CD's. I start off with the self help cd's and keep a pad of paper and pen at my side so that I can scribble ideas down as I am driving. I usually skim through the music cd's and scribble down which songs I like and then burn them onto my mp3 player when I get back home. I have been to a few self help seminars as well. One of them had me walk through red hot coals which was neat.

Years ago, we got some VHS tapes on self help. It was a huge waste of money because all the video kept saying was, if you want to learn more about BLAH BLAH BLAH, you will have to buy BLEH in order to continue. It was like that for the whole 1 hour and 20 some minutes. I told my mom and dad at the time, this was a rip off! And I was like 8 at the time! LOL! They were smart enough to see the scam too and didn't buy any more.
I do like some of the self help websites though. Lots of great ways to handle stuff online and learn things. I like hitting up Youtube for all sorts of stuff too. I haven't checked for self help stuff, but I am sure it is there.
