Title: Straight or Split Ticket
Post by: JaniceSW on November 04, 2016, 01:06:43 pm
Which will you vote...a straight or a split ticket?  Is this how you usually vote?  What is your rationale? I always vote a straight ticket because I think the same party will support each other more and get some work done---hopefully!

I already early voted and it was a straight ticket; which is how I always vote; like you my rationale is hopefully with like minds things can get done in, tie will tell giving the political climate in the country these pass months!!!

It really depends on who is running.  If I really like or dislike a person and their platform  I will definitely split my vote.

I would stick to a straight ticket because there's less of a conflict with that if at all.

Vote for the best candidate for each race. Mindlessly voting a straight ticket "just because" is one of the reasons this country is so screwed up.

I always vote for the person that I want to win so I sometimes vote straight ticket and sometimes I split across parties. Sometimes I vote 3rd party.

I split based on what is going on & who it is.  I like to not have the house and president be not of the same party.. for more checks and balances.
Ideally I think the Federal Government should be Republican, and the state government should be Democrat.

Republican for keeping our military strong, look out for trade, business, and less government intervention.
Democrat for the states because they are looking out for the interest of the people.

But really, both parties have sold their soul to corporations and foreign governments, neither are looking out for its' citizens.   both political parties are a joke.

I voted by mail.  I voted my party for everything except president.  Couldn't bring myself to do that.

I've voted early, am a registered democrat but voted split ticket this year. I always review what the candidates are representing and go by that.  Doesn't matter to me the political party as much as what they stand for on each view.

Normally I would vote a straight ticket but I do read the candidates platforms, if I disagree with someone I don't vote for them.

I will on occasion vote a split ticket but not this time.

I always look at the candidates running and make a decision based on who I think would be a better fit. I don't usually vote a straight ticket.
