Title: Do you test products at home?
Post by: metsrock69 on November 06, 2016, 04:50:59 am
Once in a while I get a survey asking me to test a product and then do a follow up survey on it. do you participate in these kinds of studies?

I have done a few of these and I really like them. They pay well most of the time and you keep the item you try.

I have done two so far. My first one I got a good sized check for and the other one I am currently still doing but I get to keep the unit after the study is done. And it's something my family actually wants to use! I love them just wish there was more of them to participate in.

I did one on shampoo, received a full bottle to try out.  Now I'm doing one on garbage bags.  I'd like to do one on wine or beer.  Hahahaha.

Yes every chance i get which isn't often enough.  I just tested a really good brand of facial products for "mature" skin and I received three full size products.  Love it !

If I get the opportunity yes.  I test products for another company and you only get paid if you complete the follow up survey.  But seems I never receive the follow up survey.  And I open all of them that come from that company.

I don't think they could do beer or wine.

Yes i've done a few like coffee, stouffers pizza, lotion. I was sent a phone to use with my sim card. I didn't have a sim card thought my son might. They wanted to track what i did with the phone. Actually may  get Cheerios to try and give my impression.I don't really go looking for these they just are part of a survey.

I totally love, love, love testing out new products. :in-love: It makes me feel like I'm part of some elite group.

Doesn't take much to get me excited about something, does it?  :turkey:

Yes, and I love them.  I've tested many products over the past few years.  Everything from food/drinks to paper products.  I like the fact that I get to try out these products and get paid twice (original survey and follow-up survey) to give my opinions on the products.

Love getting them although for me they are too few and far between.   When the UPS or Fed Ex truck drives down my street I believe my heart skips a beat hoping he's got something on his truck for me.

Never had a problem with any I've done.   Have done them for payment and a few times no other reward than the product I got to keep which is also a positive.

Here's hoping those of you who haven't had the opportunity do get the chance to participate in some product tests.

I do love the product tests.  I go for them every chance that comes my way, however, I believe they are random.  I have been fortunate to receive a few (food, makeup, skin care, shampoo/conditioner), but would welcome more.

I did one on shampoo, received a full bottle to try out.  Now I'm doing one on garbage bags.  I'd like to do one on wine or beer.  Hahahaha.

Congrats, bremer51!  I tried to get the garbage bags test product, but didn't qualify.

I have done them and love them! I've done paper towels, a carpet cleaner and ramen noodles. I had to send the carpet cleaner back after two weeks. That one came from Esearch.com I've been with them for 6 months and have only received a few surveys from them. But, it paid $55 so I wasn't complaining lol

I do when they come up. I had a recent one that I qualified for from here. They sent me the samples, but then they never called me for the follow up interview. The rep had sent me an email confirming the date and time he was going to call me, but he never did. I dropped him a quick email to say if he wanted to reschedule I'd be available to talk with him, but I never heard back from him again. Oh well!

I have done this several times.  Everything from shampoo and conditioner to frozen pizza, hamburger helper..gum.. most give me a dollar or so credit on here but I have on occasion gotten cash in the mail (usually 3-5 dollars) along with the item.  love doing those things!

I've done this... when I was avid in doing survey's 8+ hours a day I was getting them regularly.  But now I'm only a a few hours a week and I couldn't tell you when I last qualified for a product test.  My husband get's them all the time.  It's a joke between us that a $50,000.00 sweepstakes check will be in a box or padded envelope someday.  It's only cologne or dog treat samples though.

I've done a few as well, and have always enjoyed those surveys the most. As others have mentioned, most of them have been through Pinecone Research, although I have also done one with a company that had a kiosk in a mall. I've also done a TV journal / log with Nelson; although it's not strictly a product test, it was conducted very similarly, and also paid rather well.

I love being able to do those. I think the best one was getting a Samsung Galaxy phone to test and I got to keep it afterwards. I've also done normal ones like frozen foods, soda, coffee, trash bags, feminine products, paper towels, candy and hair products.

I'm waiting on a follow up survey to pop up on here now

Yes, I like testing products. A favorite would be testing out food products. I just got a product to test two days ago, which I wasn't expecting. It's for a scrub sponge. One of the more interesting products I've tested was for some cotton underwear that I got to keep. They are some of the most comfortable pair of underwear that I own. I wish I could get more.

I never get anything good like phones to test! I also never get food. I've gotten shampoo, toilet paper, and feminine products. The best thing I've ever gotten to test was cat food- in fact, it has been an ongoing test that I'm still doing, and so far I've gotten over $200 in the past year.

The only time I got to test a product was sausages that came in the mail. I have to admit They were actually pretty good. Some of them was spicy and some were regular. But I forgot the name of the company that sent them to me. All in all we enjoyed the sausages but that was the first and only time I received any items to test.

You can get product tests through taking surveys then you usually have to do at least one follow up survey afterwards about your experience.

I haven't done surveys so I didn't even know that you can also test the products.  Sounds like a good deal as long as it doesn't mean you are obligated to continue on with a monthly order.

Years ago I got into one of those deals so have stayed away from "free" products.

It's more like take a survey about trash bags. If  you seem like their target audience they ask if you would like to test the products at home. They send you bags of trash bags to test and you do a follow up survey. There is no continuous thing or payment on your part

I got to test a new and improved ravioli dish in a name brand frozen entree earlier this year!  It was sent in dry ice packing material; this company followed up with me to ensure the product had not thawed to the extent that it would affect the taste test.  They certainly took great care in making the test work for both parties.  Hope to get another like this.

There was a Test Product opportunity earlier today on FC.  I attempted it as soon as I spotted it (noticed about 5 separate entries on my page at once).  Nevertheless, I was re-routed to another survey so quickly my head was spinning.  I don't even know what it was about.  Are these popular?  YES!

I would welcome some more test product opportunities.  I've only seen one this week, missing out on it because I believe to qualify it was gender specific.  It's been a long time since I completed one for a frozen entree last summer.

These test opportunities seldom appear as observed from my experience here, but I know they do.  I missed out on the garbage bags that was popular earlier in the year. :confused1:
