To all you haters out there. To all you people who lost pride in their fellow Americans. Lost Pride in America. Only because you don’t like who won the presidency. STOP! United we stand, divide we fall. Our flag has bled enough! We still live in a country where the majority can pick our leader. Choose not be chosen for us. We still live in a country with the Checks and Balance system so no one person has supreme power to dictate any law or agenda. We still live in a country where you free to hate. Free to say you are ashamed. We still live in the greatest country in the world. No one person should take away American Pride. One more time. Our flag has bled enough. United we stand, Divined we fall. I say, We are Americans. It’s time we started acting like it.

Michellehe, I could not have said it better! Whether you voted for him or not, he won and we have to accept it. Through the course of time there has always been a winner and a loser. Stop the riots and the marches, the world is watching us, and laughing at the greatest country.

Just be happy you didn't have to wait 50 years for someone to die, before you felt free!
Singer Gloria Estefan, who was born in Havana and fled to the United Sates with her family as a result of the Cuban revolution, took to social media after news of Castro's demise broke.
“Although the death of a human being is rarely cause for celebration, it is the symbolic death of the destructive ideologies that he espoused that, I believe, is filling the Cuban exile community with renewed hope and a relief that has been long in coming,” Gloria wrote on Instagram. “And although the grip of Castro‘s regime will not loosen overnight, the demise of a leader that oversaw the annihilation of those with an opposing view, the indiscriminate jailing of innocents, the separation of families, the censure of his people’s freedom to speak, state sanctioned terrorism and the economic destruction of a once thriving & successful country, can only lead to positive change for the Cuban people and our world.”
She continued, “May freedom continue to ring in the United States, my beautiful adopted country, and may the hope for freedom be inspired and renewed in the heart of every Cuban in my homeland and throughout the world.”
It fills me with gratitude for being born in the United States of America, regardless of the few problems we have here.

Thank you old buddy for those words, and it makes me proud to be an American. I know we are not perfect, but at least we have the freedom to voice our options even if it goes against our government. Sadly some people really don't know how good they have it here.

I agree. We all need to move on.

??? the election drama continues with the call for a recount of the votes by the green and democratic parties.
-
I agree. People acting like a bunch of sore losers. If you were for her then get over it and move on. I have actually seen on the internet where higher ups were calling for democrats to actually KILL any one they knew that voted for Trump.

We are stuck for the next 4 years with Trump, so we need to wish wisdom and pray for our leaders because what they do affects us all. I feel like if people want to protest peaceably that is fine, let them know that every one is watching. The few that are causing riots and looting seem to come out any time they know there will be a crowd just to cause trouble.

Pretty well said although we do not live in a country where the majority can pick our leader as evidenced in this election and the Gore election. Both Gore and Clinton had more votes than the election winners. Perhaps saying we live in a country where states with more electoral votes can pick our leader would be a more accurate depiction. Checks and balances are in place for minimizing damage, within the United States, that any president could incur although Presidents are allowed to, and often do, speak publicly. A president without oral filters could certainly say something incendiary and insult other nations/countries and not be able to retract that statement as some have done while campaigning.

Actually, California has the most electoral votes by far, but they didn't pick the winning candidate. That's one of the reasons for the Electoral College, because otherwise California and a couple other states would have all the say, and the rest of the country wouldn't have any representation. In fact, I read that over the course of American history, there have been 5 elections where one candidate won the popular vote, but the other won the electoral vote and became President. At any rate, this is a republic, not a democracy, so there are checks and balances to ensure that it's not just majority rule.
I agree with the OP that its time to accept the results of the election, and not act like spoiled brats that didn't get their way. Do they forget that they had their own candidate for the past 8 years? It's time for a change.

There's nothing that can be done about it now...we just have to hope for the best.

The election is over, and those who were on the losing team and those on the winning team should now come together and help build our great Nation , This old stuff of fighting is not going to help. Those of us who did not vote for obama were not out tearing our great country up, we accepted him and went with the flow, Now it is time to give Trump a chance.

Well said MichelleHW101 & OldBuddy.
I agree also that it seems we have a bunch of sore losers. You can't lose your mind when your person doesn't win. This is a democracy. The other side is going to win once in a while. That's how it's supposed to work. I didn't love seeing Obama win twice, but I didn't demonize him.
Your guy didn't win. Time to move on.
