we do we always have the neighbors over and everyone chips in we get about 500 dollars worth but we live on 1 acre of land so we go back to the back of the property and shoot them off we have a great time every body loves them

I don't but my neighbors do; enough for us both.They have been doing them since last week! :party:

I do not do the fireworks but people across the street does.

I don't shoot fireworks. I'm too afraid that I would start a fire.

No I don't personally buy fireworks and set them off.

We don't. I don't know if the housing association would appreciate it, haha. I'm not going to be able to go out to celebrate this year, because I'm stuck at home with a head cold! I hope everyone has a fun, safe New Year's Eve! I'm going to sit at home with sparkling grape juice. :thumbsup: :) :party:

No, I don't ever use fireworks. I'm sure somebody will be shooting them though.

Too expensive & too dangerous to handle. My neighbors though seen to make it a loud yearly tradition. I'm just wondering, aren't you supposed to set the fire crackers off after ball goes up not before hand?

No I don't but I love to watch them at the beach where I live.

It's typically about 10 below for New Years Eve.... so no.

It's illegal where I live to shoot off fireworks... due to the risk of fire.
It's raining here, so I couldn't even if I wanted too.

My husband loves any reason at all to shoot off fireworks! New Year's is just one of many!

Wow that sounds like a great use of your money :o Hope I don't see future posts from you complaining about your financial situation 8) Also, no matter where you are it is a fire hazard and should really be done by professionals. 8)

No. A lot of folks around here shoot their guns. Guess they think those bullets will go into outer space or something.

No, I got to church and after the whole church gather together and eat and chat for a while.

I don't even like fireworks on the 4th of July. I don't like the fact that animals experience trauma when they hear them.
New Years Eve is all about having a drink that's spiked, fun music, socializing and a kiss at midnight, for me. :heart:

I don't. Please don't be one of those people launching fireworks in the neighborhood at 12am in the morning.

No because most of the time we are in very dry conditions and we also have cats that do not like loud noises. Our neighbors set them off, despite being asked not to. Last night though, they set off a few around 9PM, and that was it. So they are probably going to set off more tomorrow or when it dries out more.

My neighbors went nuts last night, so we didn't even have to bother, lol.

uhhh no,,,,,,, I leave with in 200 yards of the fire and police departments LOL and they were out cruising the streets last night LOL would not have been a good idea :)

No I do not, if we want to see fireworks we go to see them, safer that way.

We and our home survived a wildfire in 2011, when many lost their homes and even their lives. I don't care to take the risk after having been through that.

I'm fine with fireworks at 12am, I expect that. What I hate is when people set them off way past 12am, like at 3am. Did they forget that they had firework or did they miss the count down by 3hr??

No...fireworks are illegal. But we could get a permit and buy firecrackers but it's just too expensive..not worth it.

Nope, never have. Some of those fireworks are dangerous in today's world.

Its too cold here in December. But I love doing them on the 4th of July.

I do not, but they seem to be going off for about a week before and after in our neighborhood.

It is illegal here to do so. Plus we have a dog that is terrified of them. Still we have neighbors that set them off. This year it wasn't too bad tough.

no..dont get me wrong they are pretty...but can be expensive...it's just us 2 so it would be a waste of time and moey...and my cat is terrified of them

I really enjoy fireworks; watching them, that is. Some of them are just too loud for my ears! I once watched a professional fireworks display in a high building just across from the display. I could see everything and the noise was minimal.
Fireworks are definitely beautiful. I used to think they were fun to set off but now I worry about people being harmed. It can happen so fast.

I have in the past but this year we were traveling out of state so we didn't.

It is not legal in my city. To be safe: All the fireworks take place at the Town Square and it is supervised by the local Fire Department.

No, for my family Fireworks are reserved for the 4th of July.

No but I use to open the window and yell HAPPY NEW YEAR!

No, and it's illegal here but people still do it and also shoot off guns. I'm always glad when that night is over.

nope don't even celebrate anymore. heck barely able to stay up til midnight lol. some of the neighbors shoot them off though
