Here in FLA radio stations 9.89 & 105.3 start 24/7 Christmas music on the last week of October & the first week of November! Why? It's not the Christmas month! Why? Then here's the kicker, the day after Christmas even before new years those stations go back to regular music! I mean Christmas music torture for almost two months but when it's the actual month for Christmas music they cut it off before new years! Why? I wonder do they do this in other states other than Florida?

Christmas music seems to get earlier each year. I think it is about marketing Christmas.
-
Christmas music seems to be everywhere! I LOVE Christmas; but, the Christmas music is getting so very tiresome!!!
-
Hate it Menards plays it all day. I worked there 9 years drove me nuts.
-
The blindness is deafening!

That's funny, yeah, I think it has to do with Christmas marketing. Perhaps because Florida is known for having a population that is higher in age?
-
yeah i guess the music does kind of get a bit boring after a while.

I worked in a drug store once during the Holiday Season. It was awful listening to the same Christmas music over and over.
-
It drives me nuts because my mom will listen or watch Christmas stuff starting in July!! I keep telling her, It's NOT Christmas! But she likes that kind of stuff and there is no changing her. I'm sure if she had her way, it would be Christmas year round!!

I work for Kroger now. And they too play a good deal of Christmas music. Although other songs are incorporated into the loop ... the closer to Christmas the more Christmas music was played. It didn't bother me... 1/2 the time I'm so busy and it's so loud in my department I don't hear it anyway.

Torture indeed, I just turned off my car radio for the season, but what's worse is all the commercial tv ads that are still playing because they bought so much blocks of time. I seen one yesterday that stated in the commercial, during live tv not dvr, "hurry in before Christmas Eve" for whatever deal it was. Then yesterday heard White Christmas as I switched through the car radio. It's over, let it go... Hearts and red have been taking over the stores since early December and I noticed that one end of the shelving at Walmart had been cleared for ST. Patrick seasonal stuff. It's Jan 1...

In the Boston area we tend to get the Christmas music starting Thanksgiving week. It also generally ends Christmas night at midnight. Which also baffles me, since I prefer to listen to it until New Years. Although this year one channel played it until Dec 30th (for some reason).

I don't listen to Xmas music so I don't know. I don't particularly like Xmas songs so they annoy me anyway.

How can you NOT like "Grandma got run over by a reindeer"?
I am still trying to find link to that song how it pertains to birth of Jesus?

I love Christmas music but did not hear it that much

I like a bit of Christmas music but can only take it for so long. When I put on a radio station that is playing it exclusively, I would say that station stays on about 20-30 minutes and then I've had enough for that day.
-
I love all Christmas music except "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" Apologies to Hitch0403.
-
LOL!No need to apologize Bremer.
Just mixing a bit of humor with logic.GGROBAR NOT exactly in my Hits list either!

So i am not the only one complaining about Christmas music!!! :)

It seemed like one of the radio stations that I listen to this year (er, last year) seemed to gradually increase the number of Christmas songs that they played. They started a little before Thanksgiving, but it was only a couple every hour or so. But by the week before Christmas, it seemed almost non-stop with Christmas music. I liked how they did that; it didn't completely burn you out of listening to Christmas music so once the holiday was finally here, you were still in the spirit to listen to those songs.

I could have xmas music any time.
-
I enjoy Christmas music, but they do seem to be getting it a little early. The Hallmark Christmas movies seemed to me to start a little early too.

LOL! Maybe they're still in the season lol
