Title: How do you feel when you get flowers?

Post by: Bonami on January 05, 2017, 12:00:33 am: I always thought receiving flowers is great but I just learn that cut flowers have a lot of pesticides so the flowers would be perfect for the consumers. No little bugs nibbling on the petals and leaves...well, that kind of change my perspective so I prefer candies or chocolates or wild field flowers now.

If it was an irresponsible purchase then we might talk later about it, but even then I would dread the conversation.

Post by: linderlizzie on January 05, 2017, 12:10:13 pm: Flowers are lovely and it's fun to get them. I love giving them as well. It's especially good for someone in the hospital so they have something pretty to look at while they're recuperating, and to know that someone cares. :in-love:

I have been working in a nice floral department inside a grocery store and it's great fun to hear what celebrations people are marking with their bouquets and arrangements. :party: It's so sweet when a man comes in to get flowers for his wife and/or girlfriend. They're always so happy! Makes me happy too!

I really prefer plants they last a long time with me and i can look at them and remember the person who gave them too me. My son and daughter-in-law bought me minature rose bushes that i planted out side. They were so pretty and i hated to leave them when we moved. because he passed away and i did so want to bring them, but not know for sure where we would be living and not knowing how long it would be before we found a home to live in instead of the motor home i had to leave them and the people who bought the house are still taking care of them.

It is never a waste of money if yit makes someone feel special and feel really good. My husband loves to buy me flowers and once in a while i buy flowers for him as well and for myself. I also enjoy green planyts to put out on our little porch.

right now, I have a spring flowers basket on the table that our daughter gave me. Tulips, crocus, and daffodils....I will plant them outside this spring.
