Title: Do you use a pressing comb or flat iron?
Post by: melodylogan45 on February 25, 2017, 09:07:13 am
I still use a pressing comb, I have not tried a flat iron yet. Maybe one day I will purchase one. I am slowly trying different beauty tools for my hair.

I don't know what a pressing comb is! I'll have to Google it!  :) I use a flat iron on my hair, and it also makes it silky soft and much more manageable. My hair is naturally thick and wavy, so a flat iron is kind of a must-have for me.  :) I try not to use it too frequently, though, just because my hair has color damage and that will only make it more prone to breakage!

I use a flat iron 1 1/2 inch by Chi Air which uses ions to smoothen out the hair.  My hair is thick, wavy and prone to frizz so, I have to be selective in what I do use because not everything will work.

I like a flat iron because a pressing comb has that 'stinky' smell.

I try not to use pressing irons on my hair, it tends to burn out my hair, too much heat.

I used a pressing iron and one of those brushes that straighten and curl.    I think my pressing combs are in the garage somewhere...

I use a flat iron when I want my hair straight but if I want it curly I don't use anything other than my comb.   :female: :female: :female: :female:

What is a pressing comb?  But I have a flat iron at home, so I use them whenever I have a big party going on.

I too had to look up what a pressing comb is.  My hair is a dirty blonde... straight on top... kinky underneath.  Wonder if it'd work for my dirty blonde 40+ year old hairs.  I have used a straightening iron before.  Burns my hair... and leads to even worse split ends I already have.

I use chemicals and creams. By avoiding all those gadgets, I avoid damaging
my beautiful hair.
