I hear that Rogaine really works, but the problem is that you have to keep applying it to have continued hair growth over the long term and that can get expensive.

I use "Applied Nutrition" for hair and nails.  It is helpful.

I am 74, and old age, stress have taken a big toll on my hair.

The thing that works the best for me is just clear aloe gel, not the green stuff. The natural gel.

A couple times a week I rub a litte (does not take a lot, spreads well) in the places that need growth.

Aloe gel helps get rid of dry scalp, which I have, and allows the hair to grow back from the taking of the "Applied Nutrition).

Together, they have been very helpful.

I used Rogaine several years ago for an extended period of time. I did not see a noticeable improvement and could not justify the cost. I have never tried the generic form.  I guess I would rather go bald gracefully and save a few dollars.
