whether we stay in the same city or move around a number of times in our life, it is sometimes difficult to keep in touch with friends we grew up with.
The last time I talked to a college friend was in the '80's.
I moved three times since I randomly called her in those days.
A few times when I called and left a message, she didn't return my call.
And then, I misinterpreted her lack of response.
Now that I looked her up to verify her address, I found out her husband died back in 2008.
I am sending her a note and hoping she'll want to keep in communication by email and or texting.
I hope she won't be too busy.

It is sad the way some things happen. I had a best friend all through elementary and high school. We both went to different colleges but promised to always keep in touch. We did to a degree, but connected again during the summers. But as time went by we saw less and less of each other. Then we became Christmas and Birthday card friends and after years that stopped too. I haven't see her in 30 years, I don't know where she lives, if she is still married, or even if she is alive. It is sad. :(

I have a really close friend that we call each other sisters, we have the same maiden last name before we got married, she still is married but I divorced mine. We have been friends since we were 8 yrs old, she moved from Florida to Georgia when she was 8 and we became friends, we pricked our finger and put it together to become blood sisters. so we have been friends for 47 yrs.

Who doesn't miss the college days... Roaming around... not caring if you get arrested for being drunk and underage.. or sometimes laughing when people do get arrested... Fun times.
