slight changes occur.
thinning hair is one thing that happens.
there are some of us who keep a thick head of hair.
I have a neighbor in her 90's whose hair is thick and full.

Yeah right, i have some medical problems well a lot of medical problems, the cold effects me more so then anything. I will be 55 in less than 3 weeks.
-
I have been under a ton of stress for quite a while. I now take a hair/nails vitamin to keep hair on my ole head.

You said it, some of this aging stuff is for the birds. My Mom and Dad have a sign hanging in their kitchen that says "Old age ain't for sissies!" and another one that says "Be grateful for each day, because everyone doesn't get them".
-
I know just what you mean. I use to have long long hair and that is gone. Sometimes I think I will have it again but I guess that is just a dream. >:(
-
I still have my white very very thick hair at less than a week of my 79th birthday!

Stress does not help with hair.... I noticed that every time I am more stressed I loose lots of hair.
As we age... I see wrinkles I don't like on my face..... terrible! :D
But aging also means being still alive and enjoying everything that surrounds us.... so there's a lot of positive aspects about it ;)

I was just at an annual girly appointment within the last week or so. Dr. and I were talking about getting older and I said, "you know the one thing I really don't like about this aging thing?" "What?" He said. "It's all those weird hairs I'm seeing pop up that have to be plucked from my chin." And moles? What are they about?

We get wiser! :)

Getting Old Is NOT For Sissies
-
age is not something I wanna do. I look like my mother more and more everyday LOL That is not a bad thing tho. I just have more stress in my life and me and stress don't get along :( But I will deal with it,,, and keep on moving to another day :)
-
I don't know. I feel good and I look good....in my own humble opinion.
-
You lose all the energy you had when you were in your 20's.
-
It's a part of life and we deal with it. I didn't think I would wear a wig but I have a wig drawer full of them. A pastor once said if you don't want to get old leave here early. I don't think many people want that option.

Getting old isn't for sissies as some one said. I am almost 74, yes my hair has gotten thinner and whiter. But it is not all from old age some was from stress of losing my children some from being ill a few years back. But i just look at it and say oh well the less i have to do to it. I now keep it very short as it is baby fines and straight instead of curly. Now it is just wash and go. Gives me more time for something else to do.

The speaker brought this up at the Memorial service for Jesus on the 11th.
To those that may have baked bread.....if you dropped the tray and dented it the loaves wouldnt come out the same anymore. He used this illustration comparing it when Adam and Eve sinned. They brought sin upon themselves and their offspring. The penalty of sin is death......this is why we grow old and die.Gods original purpose was NOT for mankind to die.
Scientists have wondered why the human race grows old and dies because of the way it renews itself.Again it was inheriting sin from A&E.
God balanced HIS scales of justice with HIS Perfect,Sinless son Jesus. The perfect life Adam threw away was ransomed back by Jesus dying.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1st Corinth 15:22 New International Version
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

well, thinning hair. I spent about $75 on Kerinique products...it's for thinning hair. I am 35, and my hair just doesn't get long. I have learned to except that. A lot of people my age or older have this long, flowing hair...and I will just never have that. It stops now once it gets a little past my shoulders.
I like the Kerinique products, but it's a little pricey. Could't keep up with it. But just loving your hair with a good shampoo and conditioner like Nexxus, or Redkin and Paul Mitchell will basically make you feel better about your hair as you get older....it does for me. It doesn't always look how I want it too, but it feels really really soft and conditioned. Just at least treat yourself every once in a while to a really expensive shampoo, and then you get over it and go back to the old stuff.....hey, the older you are the more money you make anyway.

as we age time moves faster and faster than when we were younger, but thank God we are still here.

not liking this growning older,,, my bones are creaking more,,, my hair is thinning more and i can't seem to loose weight like I used to :(
But I guess I will just take one day at a time and be glad I wake up every morning :) :) :) :)

Growing old does come with its perks -- especially for females following menopause. ;) We experience low bone density leading to osteoporosis, loss of muscle mass leading to poor posture, our skin loses elasticity leading to more wrinkles, and hair starts to turn gray and thin leading to hair loss. But there’s more! :o Loss of height is due to the shrinkage of the intervertebral cartilage disks, resulting in narrowing space between disks. Drinking, smoking, poor nutrition, and lack of exercise further accelerates the aging process. YAY FOR GROWING OLD!! ;D

Yeah i'm getting older too but I like to think i'm just improving. :glasses-nerdy:

Love your body, take good care of it and adjust to all the changes that
come with the aging process.

I feel pretty good. Still a youngster---60 is on the horizon this June.
The odd part is when the kids have birthdays. Doesn't seem possible one can be 38.
-
People often underestimate the power of genetics.
-
Yea getting older is scary. My metabolism is slower.

My hair is my crowning glory so to speak so I sure hope mine doesn't start thinning. Right now it is below my waist and I have no intentions on cutting it. It was way below my waist and I had it cut some but I doubt I do anymore. Oh well it is a pain to deal with but has always been long and I wouldn't feel like myself with it any other way.
-
I do feel my aches and pains. I try not to let these circumstances bother me as I know it's inevitable. I surround myself with people who make me feel good, but when I come home, my wife is very blunt to tell me I look old.
-
I am always tired and my hair color is almost white but what important is that am happy.
-
One of the more obvious thing I have found as I age is putting on weight and unable to lose it and keep it off.
-
I hate growing old but not for me, it's watching my parents & love one growing older & older every year that scares me the most!
-
So what, big deal, what a bunch of drivel >:( Is anything you say worth having a DISCUSSION about? Do you comprehend the purpose of a forum ??? All you do is blather some general, vague, statements :bad: Do us a favor and just reply to others posts since you obviously can't start a topic for discussion at any level, geez! 8)

Getting old sucks. haha, it's tough, health starts to decline, it's the worst. However, the wisdom and experience learned are invaluable.
