Do you still buy a actual book and read it or do you read books online, via kindle or etc? I so far, only read books that I purchase. I am thinking about getting a magazine subscription online because they no longer have a manual print of the magazine to send me.
-
I use both online and actual book. I hate listening to books though because I read fast
-
I don't really listen to books
-
I read books. I have never tried listening to them.
-
I don't listen to books but I enjoy reading from kindle and an actual book.
-
I think there's pros and cons of both but just generally speaking I prefer reading books.
-
I read books either physical (paperback mainly) and ebooks. I could never get into audio books as my attention isn't as focused this way.
-
How about both? I recently finished listening to all 7 of the Outlander series audio books that I checked out from my library. They did not have a copy of the 8th audio book, so I checked out the actual physical book, which they DID have. Then I found out that I could request a copy of the audio book and they might order it for me. I had never known that you could request a book, so I gave it a try and about a week later, I had the audio book in my hands. So now I'm listening to the book and reading the hard copy at the same time. It's fun, and I think I'm getting more out of it than just tackling one at a time!

I prefer to read books. It keeps me engaged while listening can make me fall asleep.
-
So far I'm reading actual books. I definitely see the appeal of a Kindle but I haven't jumped on board yet. A friend of mine, who has 3 kids, doesn't have a lot of time to read so she uses audio books.
-
I never have listened to books
-
I still buy and read actual books. I still have some hostile feelings when it comes to the new technology they've developed to "read." It's just not the same experience. I'll be buying proper books until they no longer produce them. :highfive:
-
Actually, just finished reading an over 700 page book. I like turning pages
-
I buy books. Always. I love the feeling of holding an actual book in my hands and the smell of a new book. You can't get that from a kindle.
-
I like to read actual books I do not like to listen to them.
-
I rather read the book.
-
I'm about half/half. I mostly buy books but with limited space I tend to use audio and only buy books I really need.
-
I prefer reading a physical book. There are some books I want to read/own that are only in ebook format, so I use my Kindle for those. I'm not a huge fan of audiobooks, yet I've been listening to some lately, mostly Agatha Christie novels borrowed from the local library.
There's nothing like the feel of a book in hand, the smell of the paper, the experience of turning pages.
-
i haven read a book in a while but i would do this instead of audio
-
I read more than listen to books!
-
So far, i do the reading from books, the old fashion way...
-
I prefer reading books to listening to them. I read actual books and on Kindle, but I prefer the paper kind.
-
I do both.I enjoy reading physical books, but I don't have time to read everything I want to,so I joined Audible and listen to a lot of books.Listen is faster and can be done while doing other things at the same time.
-
I love to read, but when I am on the road I love to listen to books. I get a lot from our local library and like that you can put them on reserve for specific times when you know you will be traveling.
-
Reading. I get distracted too easily when listening to things.
-
I still buy books and read them. However I do have a few audio books on hand. mostly for my son who likes listening and following the words at the same time.
-
I use both, still get a couple of mag. in the mail.
-
I like to read books.
-
Depends on the book, but I prefer just reading.
-
I use to read books a lot but I just don't have the time anymore. I have only ever read books the old fashion way. ::)
-
I prefer to read a book, since I wear hearing aids sometimes the audio does not do that well for me.
-
I still like reading books the old-fashioned way if I can. However, I do have the Kindle app that I do read from occasionally. Either way, I read the words myself and do not listen to them.
-
I still enjoy the feel of physical books. Audio books are convenient but I'm old school in that way I guess.
-
I tried listening to a couple of audiobooks but found they are a really slow way to read books. Actual reading goes much faster and I also find it more enjoyable. I have a Kindle and have read a few books on that too, but once again find reading actual books more enjoyable. So I still take a lot of books out of my library. My library is dumping books more than 10 years old, though, so I will probably be forced to use more modern methods at some point if I want to read something older.
-
I don't do none, but would like to try listening to a book read.
-
i reciently started listning to books on line.
