I went to the Rheumatologist yesterday and I have it along with Polymyalgia Rheumatica, so I am on a Prednisone for a while (I hope not long). Getting old is not for sissies.

You sound like a fighter. You go girl! After all, they say if you keep on moving, you won't die.

Do you keep track of your diet to make sure nothing you're eating is creating inflammation?

Ive had it in my ankles and knees for 15 years. However recently Ive been having lower alot of back pain, been going to the chiropractor, who said from the looks of my Xrays I have the beginning of arthritis in my back now. Great :(

Anti inflammatory pills have helped, but not sure how long a person can take those! Ive been slowly working on foods that have Anti inflammatory properties

I am not sure but I think I may have it in my knees..They get very stiff and lock up and at times numb and tingle quite a bit..Is this possibly the start of arthritis?

I have heard that the seasoning Tumeric is good for arthritis. I don't have arthritis, but when I have smoothies and yogurts, I would add a couple of dashes of turmeric. And I heard that Tai Chi (exercise) is good to relieve the pain. Somethings you may want to look up, as well as drink lots of water.

I am sorry to learn about your battle with arthritis, OP. My mother is facing the same situation, and it pains me to see her endure the pain on a daily basis. I feel absolutely helpless. I am glad, however, that you have taken the necessary steps to take control of it. I hope that we can find a permanent cure for this insidious disease in the near future.
