My daughter had laparoscopic gallbladder surgery on Tuesday and is staying with us during her recovery. It has been non stop and up and down the stairs a dozen or more times a day. Her actual surgery is not causing her discomfort but the gas that used during the surgery to expand the belly is causing major pain in her back and shoulders and there is nothing we can really do until all the gas leaves her body. Wish they would have told us about this part of the surgery.

Must be hard! Wish her a great recovery and you all some rest. Hope everything went really well and that you can now finally relax!

Hugs. I am so sorry she has to endure the gas part. I really hope it passes soon

Prayers for her. Major surgery is always rough.

Hope and pray the gas leaves soon and you are able to get some rest. Check online and see if there is anything she can do to get some relief.

I will say a prayer for her pain to go away. You are right, they should have told you about the gas and pain part of the surgery.
