Title: Mystery shopping
Post by: arms1977 on September 21, 2009, 01:09:03 pm
I was a mystery shopper for a company a few years back. I left the company because they started sending me to closed convenience stores and such. I also started doing tallies of my earnings compared to expenses and found I was really losing in that rat race. Are there any members here who participate in mystery shopping? Are there good companies who compensate fairly for time and travel?

My sister Mystery shops in New Hampshire. There are reputable companies out there. You just have to look.

I know this is an old topic, but I just came across it. I currently am a mystery shopper and so far I have no quarrals with the company that I do it for. The pay isn't the best, but it's better than nothing.

always a good idea to run your company through the national mystery shopping databases...here's one that's very reliable...http://www.mysteryshop.org/

I have been Mystery shopping for 3 months now.  The pay isn't that great but I get a free meal and a few extra bucks in my pocket. I only do the shops that are really close to home or work, which is about 6 shops.

I've tried on line mystery shopping, and have no idea why I keep trying I've been ripped off each time and the sites you are suppose to be "shopping" are just offers for services I am not interested in, and since you are suppose to give real information, my cell phone and email are full of junk! If anyone knows about legit. companies let me know

I've been mystery shopping for a company for a couple months and I've made about $100 so far, not too much but I only do maybe 3 or 4 a month. They increase rates at the end of the month too which is nice. No up front fees; you have to pass some quick tests for each company. They pay once a week, paypal or dd. I won't post a link but the company is Corporate Research International. Check them out.
