Not that I know of. I hope there are none in my area. I have grandchildren.
-
I usualy check every six months. So far none are near enough to me. I check for all sex offenders though. I'm female and have kids so I'm always on the look out.I don't understand how people let their kids out to play and don't watch them. That hasn't been safe since I was a kid. I've had two neighbors that literally lost their kids. Forget sex offenders, there's a busy street right next to us!

I check for registered sex offenders in my area. I'm very concerned for the kids in my area
-
Probably. I don't exactly live in a high-rent district. There have been several drug busts and an attempted murder on my street in the past few years. :sad1:
Worse than that is I dated a guy for a few years before I found out that he was a registered sex offender. He never told me and when I found out, he said he was framed by his then girlfriend and that the cop told him to plead guilty. He can't get it off his record. I didn't know it was such a lifetime thing.
And truthfully, he was the nicest guy I ever dated. :-[

I'm sure there probably are but never checked.
-
I check every week. I do this because i have 4 children and i don't want anything to happen to them or any child in my neighborhood.
-
None that I know of.
-
Thankfully, no. Ugh. Do not get me started on what I believe should happen to sex offenders.
-
I hadn't thought to look into that information in the past, but I actually checked up on that recently and nothing near me. Sadly, there could be some around that aren't registered.

I agree with checking. Children should be protected, so should women. I don't want an adult predator living next to me either. But parents should be the first line of defense, not the last. A lot of parents in my neighborhood let their children play outside without watching them. Cars speed in and out of here, we live in a poor quality neighbor hood and I see empty beer bottles around. Who knows what they could get their hands on. Even the simple fact that kids will be kids and if you get enough of them together, they'll damage something. We had two kids during the summer smashing apples on the sidewalk b/c no one was watching them. I had to go to their mother's house and tell her what happened. This isn't the 'good old days'. You can't let your kids roam the subdivision until the street lamps come on. Bad things happen and it's up to the parents to make sure it doesn't happen to their kids.

There are 569 within 5 miles of my house. That number is inflated because it includes those currently in jail though
-
Not sure...
-
I couldnt tell you.I dont vote.
-
I do not care either way and not interested in checking. I have no kids or grandkids.

Hope the cold is giving frostbite to their should be private parts, better they fall off then get chopped off
-
We have one in the town down the road and the cops didn't do squat when he was hanging out at the public swimming pool last summer ! I have 3 little kids i watch for the neighbor lady ages 7, 9 and 11, and he best not show up around my house.
-
TOO many! We get new notifications in the mail on a semi-regular basis. :(
-
I think they are all over the place! If you check the list it is crazy. I have only ever gotten one notice though (for a house we used to live in) so I guess I am lucky.
-
not really close but I get an alert if one moves within a certain closeness to my area
-
I hope not....this information is sketchy
