I dont make candy, well unless Fudge is considered

I find candy making too time consuming, but I love Rum *bleep*, and Caramels

I will make Millionaire Fudge.  I love divinity, but I have so much trouble making it (been close to burning out the motor on the mixer) that I skip it.  But if I know someone's made it, look out--I'm coming!! 👀

Usually marshmallows and cream cheese mints, but this year I am experimenting with brittle as well. I've never had luck with fudge, but I'm going to give it another go.

I'm usually the one who makes candy.  This year I have made fudge, no bake chocolate cookies, white chocolate haystacks and butterscotch haystacks.

My mother used to always make peanut butter *bleep* dipped in chocolate, and I did, too, when the kids were young, but now they are no longer on our diet, so I don't bother.  I DID try a new recipe for the sake of my daughter who is on a diet that she loves.  It's a paleo type diet she calls the "cave man" diet.  I'm having trouble figuring out what she can eat and what she cannot.  I know she avoids gluten, dairy, and processed sugar, so I made her flourless fudge brownie bites with almond butter, maple syrup and cocoa powder.  They are surprisingly good!

My mom makes incredible fudge every year, but I personally don't make candy. I enjoy eating a little extra chocolate around the holidays though.

I've never built a gingerbread house, and I also could never get my snowman to come out right. The little ball of snow kept falling part no matter how hard I packed it in.

I do remember my mother used to make these great cookies with the sparkling, colorful sugar.

I also remember my grandmother's house always smelled wonderful. These days, unless you love to cook or bake, those smells are gone.

We sacrifice a lot for convenience I guess.

I just make cookies, but Christmas candy is now on a massive discount at most grocery stores (some are almost 60-70% off).
