Any suggestions of what to do near there?

I've been to Myrtle Beach but it was way back in years. I have no idea what there is to do there now. I remember it as being a pretty place but I almost drowned there. A wave knocked me off my tube and I couldn't swim. I learned real quick though!

I've heard about Myrtle Beach, but have not been there. Coincidentally, I'm planning a trip to Virginia Beach, VA and would ask your same question. Both are beach resort areas and hold a lot of appeal to me.
Myrtle Beach has a boardwalk and the Grand Strand where you could expect the touristy shops and eateries. There is a State Park with many walking trails, a museum and the Pier is a must-see. :fish: I understand you may be able to catch the dolphins swimming.🐬 I feel sure you would find many nature/boat tours available.

I have been there and had a great time but I did not drive so could not tell you where anything is. It is a tourist town so there is a LOT to do.

When are you going? In the summer I would suggest the beach during the day and then walk on the boardwalk and through the shops in the evening. I have never been down there in the winter so I am not sure what to do during that time.

I went there a long time ago. I think all we done was stuff that was with in walking distance. They had a bunch of rides and stuff close by but I don't remember driving to get there. I don't know if it was part of where we stayed or not.

You can go to the beach, watch medieval shows, tanger outlets, wine tasting, golf many more. Where in particular Myrtle Beach is pretty big.
