Title: Does size matter? (females)
Post by: camellia0 on February 06, 2018, 04:53:21 am
I hear so much from people about size 8 is the 'perfect' size. I am a size 10/12. I am comfortable and like how my clothes fit. Plus I am in love with food!

Size has never mattered and should not.  What people have on the inside and do with it is what counts

No size does not matter in my opinion. As long as you feel good about yourself that is what matters.

Size should only matter if you don’t have a proper BMI.

:star: What is a good size for one person may not be for another.  As long as you're healthy and comfortable. :star:

Size is just a number,  I wear a 6 - 8: and am kind of small boned.  My best friend has a medium build and is a 10.  I think as long as you are happy with your size that’s all that matters.  I think it’s totally ridiculous when people starve themselves just to be thin.  I know a co worker who haven’t eaten pizza, bread, potatoes, candy in years (all high calories) how stupid that is. There is way too much pressure from the media and kids peers to be thin.  You only live once, enjoy your food!

Size matters to me.  I have less energy when I gain weight and I can't breathe because my clothes are too tight.  I'm happier when I'm a little smaller.

I do not think that size matters.  God made people in all shapes and different colors, but we are all basically the same.  There is good in everyone no matter what they look like.

I really don't think that size matters. Who made up this size chart and why does everyone have to go by it ,  I mean really, who wants to be like everyone else  :rose:

If your happy let it be, I am  a little overweight, not much. But am happy  like I am. And if someone does not like it then they can look somewhere.  I have never really cared  if others  don't like  it if I am a little overweight , My friends  and I love life, liberty and freedom tod o what ever we want.

I was a size 12 when I met my husband.  After my second kid, I never lost some of the weight and went up to 14.  Several years later I had a hysterectomy and have been a size 16 ever since.  Sort of...14's too tight, 16's too loose.  I'm 5' 5" so I'm considered overweight at 160-170 lbs.  I've learned to love myself as is.  My daughter is getting overweight, and I'm concerned about that because she is a type 1 diabetic.  But I refuse to make a huge deal over it because there are too many anorexics and whatever out there.  She's not concerned about it.  Doesn't care if her muffin top shows.

Size does matter to me. I remember wearing size 10 clothing. Now I am in a size 12 and if I don't watch myself I will soon need a 14. However I have started a diet because I feel very uncomfortable at this size and would like to wear a size 10 again.

There wasn't a size 8, it was size 7 back in the days.  I never could get into the smallest sized and that was a 5 and not a -1 now-a-days.  But it dose matter now not being as sexy no no no....it's your health, really should have very small about of body fat, you got a heart, kidneys, and liver but now you must think about your lungs, pancreas, intestines, blood, your right side of your body gallbladder and appendix always think about your bones, if you want a sharp mind well think about it. Eyes you can see health, and your skin will glow you know. Than maybe all your senses will all come together that is a win win win  ::) have a GOOD day l     :angel12:

It depends on how tall you are.  If you are shorter then an 8 could be too big.  If you are really tall it could be too small. I am over stupid people and judging people solely by how they look or making comments about how others look. So if you are happy with your size then that is fine. Don't worry about what somebody else thinks.

I think size depends on how you feel as a person, cause everybody's different. Some feel better being bigger and some feel better being smaller. I personally would like to drop a size or two!

It matters to the person whose body it is I think. You have to be comfortable in your own skin. But someone elses size has no bearing on my life

LOL! Omg!! I thought this thread was about something else! HAHA! Dirty mind I have. lol... WELL, size did matter to me. I went from a size 22/24 to a size 12/14 and I am happy at this size, I would look sickly if I went any smaller. Plus I workout too, so muscle matters to me now..lol

I'm a size 16 and some 18's, but depending on the cut of the fabric, I can get into an 18, I used to wear a 20/22. Taking meds for diabetes makes me not eat as much, so I'm good at where my size is.

Size matters to me. I've been very small all my life, so when I gained weight, it just didn't feel right. Now, I'm not as small as before, but I am happy with my current size.

Size does not matter but BMI does! You need to be healthy.

Size doesn't matter if you are happy and healthy.  However, morbid obesity is a different matter! If you are in this category, your health is likely at risk.

Hello! :D :)

I'm in love with food too, yes size matters somewhat. I think in relation with your health and comfortability size matters. However if you are comfortable with your size and you are healthy then no size doesn't matter.  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

In keeping with what this thread sounded like it was about, since this terminology is normally used for the male anatomy, I don't think size matters that much.

If you love someone, your experience will be better than if you're just concerned about some arbitrary size issue.

Size matter to those who think they should be a size 2 in order to validate themselves as perfect.  It's sad because so many humans has this albatross around their neck thinking they should measure up to what others think of them.  NOT.

All women are beautiful. It's natural to have curves. No woman should ever be made ashamed of their bodies. You're all beautiful. <3

   Body size does not matter.
   Your health and looks matter.
   Love your body:
            Tall-short
            Fat-skinny
            Curvy-flat
It is your body and you can improve it.
And change it to make it better.
It is all up to you.

I am a guy but I want to throw my opinion out here.  I see a lot of people who I would like to see lose weight, both men and women.  When I see a woman I would like to see lose weight, it has nothing to do with her being more attractive, or sex appeal in any way.  I want to see a lot of people lose weight because I want people to be healthy.

Yes and no. It shouldn't matter to anyone but the person because their opinion of themselves is the most valuable. I'm overweight and I still love myself but I have noticed I'm losing some confidence because I've gained more

I feel it all depends upon how a woman sees herself.  Whether or not she is confident within herself no matter what size she is and takes care of her health.   :female: :female: :female: :female:

Size matter some what. The first thing is to be healthy, but everyone's size preference is different. When I gain a few pounds it makes me feel heavy and bloated so I try to lose it but if it wasn't for that it would not matter because I don't thing I look bad it is just how my body feels.

Size doesn't matter to women until you start dating again! My older sister's on the heavy side & was confident about it. Suddenly, one day she brings home a new boyfriend & I noticed she lose some weight! Women shouldn't have to be judged by weight or size but that's what the world is about! In America at least it's tolerated & we're evolving slowly, at least we're not as bad as South Korea, even the male actor/singers look skinny as skeletons!💀

Size matters for me, because If I will gain weight, can't breath properly.  My back pain will be striking again and very difficult to work.
