Which do you prefer and why?
-
On Demand is included in my Cable Package, some of the shows they update fairly quick, some not at all, I had Netflix many years ago, I had gotten it as a free trial, but didnt really use it
So I would say On Demand as I already pay for it I guess
-
I don't really use either.
On Demand is nice for those moments when someone accidentally deletes the show you just recorded.
Netflix is nice for watching a show that's been out forever but you haven't seen. I watched most of NCIS through my sisters Netflix after forgetting about the show for years.
I don't have a Netflix account, or I might use it more. It's nice to just have a show that you know running in the background while I do daily chores.
-
We have both On Demand & Netflix.
OnDemand is good for current shows & movies. Sometimes my cable pixelates the OnDemand - ever since time warner switched to spectrum.
The best reason to have ondemand is I can get it through cable & it doesn't rely on my internet.
I'm on a mission to phase out my cable, but I have a bundle with internet & home phone... hopefully by the end of the year I can get my family mind set on cutting the cord.
-
I prefer my firestick so I can watch whatever I want without worrying about whats available on what service
-
Netflix went to poopoo just my opinion lol I personally love Hulu because it's 1000 times better than Netflix
-
I use both and since we moved to an area where there are lots of hills and the antenna won't work, we rely on Cable again. However, since we share a house with our son and his family, we split the cost.
-
Netflix. Everyone in the house uses it daily. We love it.
-
I prefer netflix. We finally got rid of cable a few months ago and use our firestick and roku player to stream. Besides netflix we also use Sling TV and I have downloaded some free apps to keep up with shows that are currently on that I watch.
-
netflix has lot of older shows I like
-
I have Netflix but rarely use it. I use my firestick and load shows through Kodi. We get to watch a lot of the old, old shows especially Westerns.
-
Netflix is pretty cool or prime, just click watch and repeat!
-
I don't know about Netflix and I don't watch that much movies, but I love my on Demand because I can go back and watch my TV shows I missed.
-
We tested On Demand and weren't impressed. But we already have Netflix and Hulu and are mostly looking for older shows anyway so those are plenty for us.
-
I had on demand years ago and I enjoyed it. I currently have Netflix and I like it. I like that you can watch older shows, Netflix original shows or movies and more.
-
ON demand netfflix only has certain things i like
-
We have Netflix only so I've never experienced On Demand. We're pretty satisfied with Netflix and have had it for 2 years. We also have Roku but don't watch it much at all.
-
I haven't used On Demand, but we love Netflix. There's always something good to watch!
-
We used cable and Fire Stick.
-
I use ON DEMAND to catch up on shows not order movies which is why I don' t use NETFLIX 8)
-
Which do you prefer and why?
Hello! :D :)
I prefer Netflix because it is more convenient. My boyfriend had Netflix and then we removed it as it was no longer needed. Now I open my own Netflix account and also got Hulu, I feel it is better because I don't watch that much TV. Nonetheless, I have Hulu and Netflix to entertain my guests. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:
-
Hulu! They offer better content.
-
Ever since I cut the cord , I watch more netflix. I also have hulu for other shows I watch. There are also a free movie app that I have called pluto tv. It has commercials but hey its free and has lots of content and movies :)
-
I would love to try Netflix but On Demand is part of my cable bundle so I use it. I might be moving in the next month or so and there is a different cable provider where I'm moving so everything might change. I guess I'll find out if the move happens!!
-
I haven't had anything but Netflix and Amazon Prime for years. I have no use for anything else and find what I have is enough for me and is within my budget.
-
So many great streaming services available and so much material it's crazy. Streaming is destroying the dvd/bluray video business and I love because I can get dvds/bluray singles/sets and boxsets dirt cheap now.
-
I got to look into something some day...cable bundle (phone/interweb/tv) bill is $200 every month... :moneymouth: :o

Still gonna stick to my dvd's/cd's.....
-
I prefer neither. There are so many that are available out there.
-
On Demand because it is included in my cable already and do not need an another bill or more TV stations
-
I stay at my daughter's house and we don't have cable or satellite so the only things we use are firefox or Netflix. I also have an antenna in my room
-
I would go with on demand or none at all you can find plenty of free legal sites that provide streams. I would never go with Netflix ever again.
-
Netflix because it has Fuller House (at least that would be the reason for now).
-
I have both, but Netflix only has shows that has been for awhile, while on-demand is current shows, but you have to have that channel on your package that you pay.

Dvds/blu-rays are fun but when you can get them all the time for pennies they can overwhelm and you spend more time making space for them than watching them. March 31 I bought for 30 bucks total : Battlestar Galactica remake series on blu ray, season 1-7 of the x files,Sex and the city seasons 1-6,gilmore girls seasons 1,3,4,5, law and order svu seasons 1-4,Godfather 1-3 collection and 21 dvd set of the first 21 james bond movies and Entourage seasons 1-4,,Desperate housewives seasons 1,3,4,5 plus found extra dvds and blu ray hidden. It was a good dvd/blu ray day but now I have to make space but they're worth it. They're fun to watch,do jpeg captures,gifs...
-
I use both. OnDemand is good for the current shows that I missed that week. Netflix is good for older shows or movies that I can take my time in watching.
-
On Demand because i am not going to pay for Netflix.
-
i like cable but the price is crazy.....
-
I prefer Netflix. I love that it has no commercials and older movies I love. We don't have cable or satellite or On Demand.

We have had Netflix for several years and added Amazon Prime through the firestick. With Prime I get free shipping, discounts on purchases, music, a library full of books, a wild sale day, treasure truck days and it contributes to my bottom line as I own amazon stock. We will be canceling our cable in May. It would have been earlier but we couldn't decide fast enough in December so we got shnookered into another six month contract. Our entertainment cost will be set at about ten dollars for our Netflix membership as Amazon Prime pays for itself, and then some, with free shipping. We still have to go throught the cable companies for cable but are hoping that someone attacks that quadrant as well-maybe even someone that will restore net neutrality. The only thing we will miss is the tennis channel but my wife gets that at her health club.
-
On Demand usually I prefer. I will still watch Netflix though.
-
I had Netflix when you had to order movies by mail. Don't know about it now. We have Comcast (yuk!) so On demand is part of the package. Don't use it much. i did catch up on Th Walking Dead, Blue Bloods and Roseanne because those programs are on the same time a show hubby watches.
-
Netflix for cost, On Demand for more choices.
-
I have Netflix (thanks to my daughter), I let cable and On Demand go last year
-
I would love to get hulu with live tv for $40 a month but that just isn't going to fit into our budget right now.
I would be happy just to have the extra cash to buy hulu every month.
-
I personally like netflix the best because it grant made for TV movies. Lots of movies are not on on demand that netflix airs. I do think though that on demand is great for tv prime time shows.
-
I like Netflix better, works well for me. You can't beat the selection. And now that they have so much original content, it's a pretty good deal.
-
Netflix for sure! i had On Demand a longgg time ago and i never really liked it. the movies had about 7 min of commercials and movies were never up to date. Netflix has a variety of new movies, old movies, and a bunch of tv shows. But netflix doesnt keep up to date with new seasons.
-
netflix there is a great selection and they have whole series as opposed to just a season
-
I do two things. Netflix and DirecTV now. Since I have AT&T for cell service I get a really good deal on DirecTV Now, so I am paying between the two about $25. Certainly less than I used to pay for cable. I'm back to no DVR and having to watch commercials again, but I am saving a lot of money!
-
i dont subscribe to any movie service
-
net flix is only 10 bucks cable is much more
-
I prefer Hulu tbh. There's more variety.
-
We use On Demand since it's part of the cable. It's okay but I don't use it much, mostly to catch up on weekly shows that are on the same time as the shows hubby watches. He doesn't like most shows on TV, only those reality shows that take place in Alaska and the Swamp People. Right now, there's only 1 night that has anything good, and that's Monday night. It's a waste of money for cable right now.
-
Netflix has better stuff, but On Demand is included in my cable package so I watch a lot of HBO On Demand. Currently hooked on Curb Your Enthusiasm.
-
I prefer Netflix
-
I prefer Netflix. They have lots of shows I like.
-
Kodi is the best thing I have used, but I haven't used it in a while because it wasn't working very good at all. I like how some people say they prefer their firestick. To my knowledge, nothing comes with the firestick itself.
-
I have both and really don't use neither of them much. I guess I use demand more.
-
I think both Netflix and On Demand are great. With Netflix you get a great selection. With On Demand, you get immediacy for things you might have missed. I use both of them and they keep me well entertained.
-
we use amazon prime..and roku
-
On demand is with my cable so that works for me.
-
We use Netflix, haven't had the chance to try out On Demand
-
My Husband prefers to watch Netflix over on Demand. He says it is easier for him to find the movies that he likes to watch. :)
-
i wouch choose on demand,,,
