Title: Cooking at home or fast food
Post by: Mizzkizz7 on April 27, 2018, 05:18:52 pm
Lately I've been eating fast food, taco bell, KFC, wendy's, red lobster. which do you do the most? Do you have time to cook a meal? A simple meal?

Hello! :D :)

When I was struggling to pay my bills I only ate home cooked food and now that I got the second job I'm still eating home-cooked meals. It just simply cheaper and better. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

There's nothing like a home cooked meal. I prefer to stay at home and make my own food. It's nice to get out every now and then and splurge a little, but it's a rarity.

We save going out to eat nights for special occasions. I have read that going out correlates with gaining weight and I know that it costs more money to eat out. These are two things that I try to avoid. Eating at home allows us better family/social time-even if it is just my wife and I. We are able to catch up on what each of us has been doing during the week, alert each other to upcoming events, and share conversations that we have had with our children (both are in college). We also encourage each other to eat healthier as well, Tonight will be different. We have both been craving hamburgers so we picked up some angus from Costco and I will grill hamburgers as soon as I ma done working today. Our two dogs will share a hamburger as well. Just us and our furry kids!

I think that I prefer to eat at home because it is more economical for us.

I have the time but not the strength energy or inspiration.  My son makes breakfast most days and he brings food home from his job at an assisted living facility most nights and although I don't care for the food really it saves money and beats having to clean up the kitchen.

Living alone I don't feel like cooking much in the way of meals.  It is an occasional thing.  Cooking anymore means a grilled cheese sandwich or the like.  I alternate between simple food from home and eating out, usually taking advantage of a coupon, if I can!

I prefer home cooked meals but we've been having a lot of trouble with our water over and over.  We are on well water and it keeps cutting out so we have been living off of a lot of fast food.  Can really tell a difference in how we feel from eating all that grease too!

Cooking at home is much healthier, but sometimes, I get fast food when I'm feeling lazy and just want to treat myself. I like Taco Bell, KFC, and Wendy's best.

We mostly cook at home,  I plan out our meals on Sunday based on what we have on hand and try to use it up before shopping again.  It is healthier and cheaper.  We get food out about once a month which is usually pizza

I try to cook most meals in, but at times it is nice to have a break or try something out when you don't have groceries.

It is cheaper to eat at home, but eating out occasionally is good for the soul.  Home made is always better.

A 'simple' meal takes me less time than fast food would.  Besides that, I don't eat fast food at all for health reasons.  That stuff is killing us!

I prefer to make home-cooked meals. Though you can't beat the convenience of going out to eat. Sometimes after a long day, it's nice not to have to worry about cooking.

My husband cooks a gorgeous meal for dinner every evening. He also does all the food shopping. The quality of the meals he makes is so high, I don't even ever want to go out to a restaurant.

I haven't eaten at KFC in years; the last time I did I had heartburn for 2 whole days.  I heard they have new recipes now though so I may give it a try one day....

I eat more at home than I eat out but when I do eat out it's mostly Wendy's, Popeye's, and Taco Bell.

We eat fast food for lunch. I'm trying to get hubby to go to Wendy's or Taco Bell but they are almost 15 miles away. I'm just so tired of BK, McD, KFC, and Long John Silvers.  With his tooth problem (long story), he can't eat the hard rolls that the subs are made from, and that used to be one of the weekday lunches.

I have been cooking at home lately but I eat out every Sunday from fast food to mid scale  menu places.  If I get tired of my own cooking, I pick up something.

I usually eat at home and that's less expensive and better for you.

However, if I am hungry and driving by a Mickey D's, I'll sometimes get a hamburger there to tide me over.

Tonight's menu at home was all vegetables and it was delicious!

Cooking at home is healthier so I try to do that. Sometimes I have to go with fast food just because I don't have time to cook.

I much prefer home-cooked meals to fast food any day. We make the time in our household for this and put other stuff aside if it conflicts with making one really nice meal every evening that our family can enjoy together. Of course, this is all very easy for me to say because I don't do the cooking in my household; my hubby does it.

Eating out is okay as a special treat sometimes, but it can get very expensive if you have a big family to feed.  Sometimes if you are the only one eating, it is less expensive than cooking at home.

I try not to eat out.  Wasn't it on here a thread was started where they have a major outbreak of hepatitis where some idiot got a job in a restaurant and didn't tell anyone and infected people in not only that country but all the surrounding counties?  Seems like use to they could ask questions like that on an application.  I think they still should.  If you have an infectious or contagious disease you should not be able to work where you could make other people sick.
