We are getting ready to plan our much delayed honeymoon. Any suggestions on where we should go in the US and what we should do there?
Here are some things we would like to include.
Secluded cabins with hiking trails that lead to waterfalls, caves, beaches. Great food (sea-food is not a liking) mining would be fun, Shows/comedy?
Things we want to avoid; horseback riding, mini golf, roller coasters

Grand Marais, Minnesota
Its a great place for cabins and trails to beautiful places, I went 24 years in a row for 2 weeks with my mom !   Wonderful eating places and shops .
Artsy and quirky, the North Shore harbor village of Grand Marais welcomes creatives, families and adventure-seekers alike. The accolades almost speak for themselves. Grand Marais has been named America's Coolest Small Town (Budget Travel Magazine), Top 10 Beach Getaways (Outside Magazine),

In two weeks, we are going to a wedding in the Hocking Hills region of Ohio. Depending on where you are starting from and how far you are willing to travel, that area alone would satisfy several of your criteria for cabins, hiking trails, water falls and caves.
My wife and I had a three part destination honeymoon in 2005 - Gettysburg, PA, stayed at an awesome B&B and toured the historic sites; Lancaster, PA - stayed at another great B&B, had dinner at an Amish family's home (cannot beat their food) and went to a live dinner theater (which hits another of your possible criteria); then we went on to Wildwood, New Jersey and stayed at a family member's condo. It was too chilly for us to go to the beach - but that was available.
Depending on the time you have available for multiple destinations, I would enthusiastically recommend any of the above locations. And if B&B's are anyone's thing I would doubly recommend the Brickhouse Inn in Gettysburg or Lovelace Manor in Lancaster.
Good luck with the planning!

Well don't go on a Hawaiian honeymoon that would be to hot in another way.

I have been traveling a ton. I never thought I would be able to say that, but I found a way to take amazing vacations for insanely cheap. Definitely something you should look into.

Love Flagstaff, AZ and you can see the Grand Canyon and hike along with riding the rapids.

Look up accommodations and things to do near the Great Smokies, Appalachian Trail, or any of the many great national parks. I didn't know it until recently, but Utah has a ton of national parks. Also, if you've never visited the upper region of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan as well as the Upper Peninsula, itself, it is beautiful.
