Death or harming someone are my responses.

Anymore everything is getting ridiculous. You have to worry about offending everyone one way or another

disabilities

Wow. This list could be so long. I have a hard time with the "politically correct" language we must use today. Everyone should use common sense when speaking but also, people need to grow a spine as to not be offended.

At work an associate and I were talking about another co-worker who was just admitted into the hospital for internal hemorrhaging. An unfortunate event as this particular individual had just recovered from a broken wrist as well as taking care of a loved one who just had some strokes. Lot's of PT and rehab for the family going on.... The kid tried throwing in a joke. Quickly recovered with poor timing - I'm sorry that was inappropriate.

There are millions of things too serious to be joked about. I use to have a friend that he couldn't be serious about anything. Everything was a joke. We don't talk much any more.
If it is something concerning your family if you would get mad if people made jokes about it then it is wrong to make jokes about someone else.
It is also wrong to make jokes and make fun of anyone. If you participate in that then you are a bully. Most of the stuff people "make jokes" about online today I find offensive.

along with what others have said, suicide.
-
All of the above plus harm to animals.
-
If it harms someone: It is no joke!
-
Death is not a joke.

There can be a long list of things that is to too serious to joke about. Some people have sick minds thinking that what they see as funny could never happen to them. The Lord works in many ways.
-
health problems,,,death...things like that,,,

Anything that is insulting to another person; just as there are things we personally don't like others to joke about us; same holds true for others. The tongue can be a sword, that's why we should be careful about how and what we say.

Margaret chow did one about rape making a joke . the entire audience turned on her bad idea.
-
Everything having to do with political correctness, unfortunately.

I do not like jokes or jokers. I am a very serious person which my husband does not like but has gotten use to. I don't see the need to joke about anything.

So many things that we all grew up knowing were wrong (and mean-spirited), and not to do them should not be joked about.
Now, if you use the wrong pronoun, or say you like the Prez (or don't), if you are conservative, if you believe in the founding documents of this country, and who you work for ... anything can suddenly become a war, anger, attack, and demonstrations with edgy violence.
This reveals a serious lack of sanity, self-control, and they are passing it on to their children ... creating a new generation with the same insanities.
I fear for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren (2), and the world they will live in. It is up to us to teach them that the war-talk, the hostility has to stop. We can agree to disagree. One side believes you can bully people into going their way. Don't agree with them, watch out.
That will back fire on them, and their kids may just turn on them with a new goal, a new concept, a new agenda. But they will have been taught to use anger/violence/screaming/ pushing, and not letting anyone else say differently.
It will back fire on them eventually.

A persons physical appearance, God made everyone different, but we have one thing in common, we all have the same blood color, that we can't change.
-
I don't joke or tease if I think it might be injurious to the person.
-
i'm not a joker...never have been...but my daddy's family is all about joking...i never could..
-
suicide or attempted suicide

Suicide and Mental Disabilities

Death, Illness, and a million more things!
-
Doing bodily harm to yourself or someone else.
-
Someone falling down the steps :D
-
A lot of things could fall under this category but I guess for me it would also be about dying or death of a loved one.
-
I think you can joke about anything really and should. But it's good to be aware of the context and situation. For instance, you may be able to joke about death, but not during a funeral. I see no problem with any number of jokes as long as they aren't mean-spirited. Even making a joke to a disabled friend about disabilities might give them some stress relief for their condition, but just know your audience. Read the room, so to speak.

There are so many, but here are a few: death (disease, suicide, etc), religion, abuse of any kind (human or animal), disability of any kind, any type of disease, people’s size (fat, short, tall, etc), people’s age, and accidents (falling, bumping into something), that’s just to name a few.

Death and sexual assault. Unfortunately, there are a TON of jokes cropping up about the later in recent months.

America. We stand true to our country. Enough of the racism and that. I don't agree with foreigners taking office
-
Joke should be in right place and situation. You cannot joke in a serious matter like life and death.

A lot of things should not be made jokes about but people are also too sensitive and snowflakes these days. I would have to say a specific incident but people make jokes about death in general a lot and it is not a huge deal.

Death is not a joke.
Death is not a joke but there have been jokes made at work about co-workers getting hurt or killed and it is a joke. No one is serious. If you are talking about a joke being made where someone has actually gotten hurt then that is different.
-
I don't take things so seriously. If it offends you, remember words don't hurt. so why be offended.

The tongue as well as the heart can be very treacherous.

Actually words do hurt. Kids have killed themselves over bullying.
-
For race things I get worked up on it like crazy same thing if things are said about my family joke or not you dont say it.

A person with a learning disability. Especially in school. Kids can be so mean..

There are so many topics that shouldn't be joked about. I guess it comes down to your audience, the person you are telling the joke too. If you know what would set them off then you just don't use those as a topic. If you look at stand up comics they tend to joke about themselves or their family. They also tend to objectify their jokes rather than single any one thing out in particular.
-
Suicide, death, harming someone or animals, any kind of abuse, religion.....the list could get really big.
Jokes are supposed to be funny, but often people say mean things and then justify their "joke" by saying, "I was just kidding!" however, the hurt has already been done.
-
Of course there are, many.......'
But then, we have social morons that will joke about anything.

Jokes about disabilities, rape, or religion goes too far for me.
