Title: How often are you late?
Post by: gwilson31 on June 12, 2018, 12:07:29 pm: How often are you late for work ? I don't think I've ever been late for work. I work as a counselor in a homeless shelter...I work overnights. A couple years ago I was working Christmas eve and my relief was supposed to come in for her shift at 7 AM...but she didn't show up until 8.30. >:( >:( >:(

Post by: michele2042 on June 12, 2018, 02:04:12 pm: I can't remember a time I was late for work. Rarely late for any type of activity. Most times I'm early. I don't mind folks that are late by a few minutes but much longer is something that bugs me.

Post by: vickysue on June 12, 2018, 02:52:05 pm: I can think of only 1 time that I was late getting anywhere , it was from a dental visit. They ran overtime by a lot and made me late for work. I hate being late getting anywhere and if I know that I have a lot to do before opening at the charity I like to be there early. Now hubby seems to have a hard time being anywhere on time. Except Ghurch, Why I don't know.

Post by: 1imaginarygirl on June 12, 2018, 03:56:25 pm: I'm late for work pretty much every day. But I start earlier than almost everyone else in the office, so it doesn't really matter. None of my managers have ever said anything about it. Also I hate my job, so I don't care anyway. :P

Sometimes weather (snow), but I usually plan a buffer for it. I really really hate being late for anything though. I think it's rude. (Sometimes unavoidable, though)

For other things, I'm getting worse than I used to be about being on time. :-\

Methinks that's one of the things we worry too much about.

I am always two minutes early to a meeting according to the clock on my computer (that synchronizes with everyone in the corporation). Getting to a meeting earlier than two minutes wastes time as I do not need to engage in small talk while at work. I generally show up a few minutes late for picking people up from the airport. I do this on purpose because the general population feels that their time is much more important than mine and build in a five to ten minute window into the time that they really need to be picked up at. I am never late for dinner or cocktail hour because I can begin without others while taking care of phone calls, texts and e-mails.

Once in awhile usually because I am not alone or somehow they had delayed me from leaving. I hate to be late even spot on drives me nuts I have to be like 5 to 10 minutes early

I live the furthest and get to work before everyone else and if I am late it's only because of the weather and traffic commute. Everyone else is always late and looks like they all crawled out of bed just in time! lol

When my children were younger I would show up right on time or a few minutes behind. They quickly learned when it's time to go it's time to go and I don't wait around for them.

I always hated showing up to things where extended family and friends had to comment on my family being late so I vowed ever since then to always be on time or early.
