Sometimes I feel depressed for no particular reason, just feel blue. Anybody else get like that?
-
I have many days like that.

Oh yeah, I have a major depressive disorder. Depression is more than sadness -- it's lack of interest in activities and sleeping too much (or not enough). I don't let my depression define me, but it is a very big part of my life.
-
yes lately ive been more depressed not sure why some medical issues. nothing I cant deal with. you do loose interest in things.

I totally understand some days are much harder than others. Depression is no fun I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers

I suffer from depression and i's not something I enjoy. Thankfully there is treatment.

Just about every one of my Days is like that. I take medicine for it, but it does not work at all. :(

I have many days of depression - I guess due to getting older not because of that per se but due to losing close family members, sons moving out and I am alone a lot, age related health issues. Whatever I guess a little of all of it especially losing my mother and husband.

If I'm sad every now and then it's for reason.
-
I usually combat depression, anxiety, anger, grief by going to the gym and working out hard.
-
I have as well. I just try to remind myself that tomorrow I will feel better and that I just need to get through today.
-
I always get that way if I can't sleep. I don't know why but I have had that for years. Other than that, I really don't get depressed. :cat:

I have bad days sometimes, but it always gets better

There was a time I was going into deep depression and turned to the bottle. Thank God for family and friends and my faith because I needed all the help I could get after losing 2 children. But now I fill my life with positive things and spend more time with my brother and stepfather. volunteer a lot for events and charity and events at church.

I take medication for it but still every now and then I get the unexplained blues.
-
Unfortunately I will let myself get like that at times. Living with a person with major depression caused by physical disabilities takes it toll sometimes...
-
No, not really. I keep myself really busy, I have a job I like and I spend time with my daughter or friends regularly. Sorry you feel this way.
-
Family contributes to depression as well. I plan on getting missing the end of this week. I got to get away. :(

I have more depressed days than those that are not depressed. Especially the older I get. Loss of loved ones troubles with adult children mobility issues you name it. I have always been an upbeat person and I am still trying but it seems like an uphill battle. Well here is to happier days for all of us.

Same.
Sometimes I can run through facts (facts, not feelings, works better for this for me) in my head to counter it, and lessen it/make it go away. Not always, though.

I have been diagnosed with chronic mild depression. I go through periods that are worse than others.
If this depressed feeling is more persistent than a few weeks, you might want to see a doctor or therapist. Don't suffer through it alone.

I have never been told I have depression,,, but there are times I think I am depressed. I have known several people who do have it and it isn't something I really want to have. Prayers for those who do have it
-
No, no I don't. Life is good. You know how I know? Because I am typing this right now. We are all blessed each day we wake up. Depression is just in people's head. If they really want to get past it, they certainly can.
The doctors tell people they have some form of depression. Why do they do that? They make a ton of money off of making people believe it. And then they give them medication, which makes them more depressed and is terrible for their health. Flooding themselves and other doctors with endless money.

I usually go to the beach or a body of water to chase away the blues. When those feelings come creeping up I start singing and speaking to myself about being a conqueror and over comer.

I sleep to forget but when wake up it returns
